Description We have horrible weather here in Wisconsin. It's stormy and overcast and it looks like it's going to be like that for a while. I got a lucky break tonight. I always keep an eye out the window watching the light. When I seen a few breaks in the clouds I decided to take a chance. After all I've been itching to get out the new lens. I found this spot right down the road and set up shop. While getting malaria ( not really ) I tried to stay steady. The mosquitoes were unbelievable. I hope you enjoy this one as it's the first shot I'm proud of with my new Canon 10-22mm. Thanks Canon and all my friends here on Deviantart.

I like the stick pointing to the island, the clouds and colors!!!! We're here in the Dells and every time we head out on a little photo shoot I come back with only about half my blood still in me... easily the worst "swat" season ever [ and of course our "shovel" season had set our all time record on Feb. 12 with a couple more feet of snow to come]. Do you know of anything that REALLY keeps the mosquitoes at bay? We were in Tower Hill State Park a couple of weeks ago and I don't think I even got off a shot... I needed four or five hands just to wave at them!!!

Thanks, and as far as the mosquitoes go Fleet Farm sells some stuff that's 100% deet. It works really well but is very harsh and it's not good on camera equipment. I'll be on the lookout for something this year to help, if you find something let me know.

Thanks, someday I'm going to invent the mosquito that doesn't attack humans... I'll be rich. Maybe I'll just stick to the pictures.
