I agree with you, as usual, but short of pulling out my chainsaw I couldn't get any farther back. Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, if you could frame it anywhere, where would you put the truck? I wanted to get the whole thing in, and put it a little more central.
I might try and retake it when i get my wide angle lens. I've got another version of this shot that I processed different that turned out kinda interesting too. It was tough to pick which one to post. The other version has gotten a way better response on facebook.

wide angle would be better for this type of shot no doubt.
but i would have got a more front on angle and a much lower view point, positioned the car to still serve as a focal point but offset it more to one side.
but its subject to opinion.
