Babysitter Nightmare
Part 2

~~~~~2 hours after lunch, aka Orion's nap time...~~~~

"Okay, sleep tight Orion..." Salomn said, tucking the baby into his cradle. Two milliseconds later, the blanket was pushed off, and Orion sat up in his crib.
"Orion, you have to go to sleep now." Salomn insisted, gently pushing the baby back onto his back and pulling the blankie back over him. The blankie was pushed off again, and the baby boy sat up again, giving Salomn a look.
Salomn sighed, rolling his eyes, before picking up the baby, wrapping one blanket around him like a cocoon, and setting him back down and pulling the first blankie over him yet again, before walking out of the room to tell Taboo to keep it down and quit yelling at Pandora.

It took a few more seconds, but both blankets were discarded again, and the baby boy sat up, looking around. Seeing that the butterfly-person was gone, the mute baby grabbed both his blankies and clumsily threw them out of the crib, his stuffed animal pillows and regular pillows following soon after. Seeing there was enough of a cushion on the floor now, he grabbed onto the edge of the crib and slowly pulled himself up, before hopping down onto the pile on the other side, satisfied that he got no owwies. Escape accomplished, he crawled off the pile, before crawling out of the room and back to the living room where his grim scarecrow doll awaited him...

~~~~~~~Elsewhere...~~~~~~

Hanyuu and NiGHTS walked back into town, holding hands.
"Do you think we should get the groceries over with? I mean, it'd be one less thing we'd have to do, and now we don't have to worry about dragging the kids along..." Hanyuu asked, checking her purse.
"Might as well. It's not like they'll let us in, anyways..." NiGHTS shrugged.

~~~~~Back with the kids...~~~

"What the-?! How did he get back out here?" Salomn asked, staring at the sleeping baby curled up across Reena and Envy's laps.
"You forgot to grab his doll." Reena mumbled, pointing at the black reaper/scarecrow doll that the now-sleeping Orion was hugging.
"...that explains why he was being so stubborn earlier..." Salomn commented, gently lifting the sleeping baby off the little girl and his baby brother's laps, being sure not to lose the doll, before carrying him back to the nursery.

DING-DONG

Envy blinked, before handing the zipped-up Taboo to Reena and going to the door, little Ree following him.
Reena opened the door, only for her and Envy to blink at the grocery bags outside the door. On top was a note that read:
To the hooker:

Here's some groceries, make sure they don't eat anything they shouldn't, we'll be back later tonight, then we'll pay you.

Ree and Envy glanced at each other, before walking to find Salomn and tell him there was food outside.

~~~Meanwhile...~~~~

Salomn set the young Orion down on one of his pillows, and started putting the blankets and other things back in the crib. Honestly, all that fuss over one doll?
He finished up, before turning to grab Orion and the last pillow, only to blink. Sitting up and holding the doll was Orion, blinking sleepily up at the sinner from his perch on the pillow on the ground.
"Hey there lil' guy. Sorry about waking you up. You sure threw a big fuss over one doll..." Salomn commented lightly, picking up Orion, the doll, and the pillow, before setting the pillow down in the crib and lying Orion down under the covers, doll included. He smirked gently when he saw the baby didn't push the blanket off again, but huggled the doll and went back to sleep.

Suddenly, he felt something tug on one of his wings. He turned, expecting to see one of his brother's Hell Hands, only to blink when he didn't see anything. Well, he DID see Ree and Envy looking in, and apparently there were groceries on the doorstep...

~~~Later, in the kitchen...~~~

Cory wandered into the kitchen, smelling food. Salomn was at work, making spaghetti for dinner.
"What are you doing?" Cory asked, tugging at his skirt.
"Making spaghetti and meatballs, and a lot of it. Though why it's ground pork, I don't get..." Salomn replied, rolling out meatballs.
"Well, I can't eat beef, and neither can my Mom, so we don't eat very much of that. Plus, pork meatballs taste way better." Cory explained, hopping onto a stool.
"Really now..." Salomn replied, still rolling out the meatballs as the sauce simmered.
"...can I help? I know how to make meatballs!" Cory asked.
"Sure thing." Salomn agreed. Cory moved his stool over, and started rolling out little meatballs.

"Big Brother is lactose intolerant, Speckles is allergic to strawberries, Mauve's a strict vegetarian, Bug and Arctic can't eat really spicy hot food, Orion likes sweet food, chewy foods, or hard to chew foods and hates a lot of veggies, Ree and Kokiri like eating smaller amounts of food at a time and finishing them later after they've digested some, and Karma and I eat whatever, whenever, (as long as it doesn't have beef, in my case)." Cory said, laying down the group's basic eating habits.
"Good to know, thanks..." Salomn replied, starting a pan to fry the meatballs in.
"How come Envy didn't mind dressing up for our tea party?" Cory asked.
"I dunno, maybe he didn't want his shadow possessed?" Salomn suggested.
"True that..." Cory giggled, washing the raw meat off his hands.
"Being allergic to strawberries has to SUCK, though..." Salomn muttered, shaking his head at Speckles' allergy.

Oh it DOES, Salomn. Believe me, it DOES...

The army of little people was crowded around the dinner table, all eating spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce (minus Mauve, who didn't eat meat), and had garlic toast and Parmesan cheese.

Yum!

"Hey Mauve, why didn't you get any meatballs?" Bug asked, eating his garlic toast with spaghetti and tomato sauce on it. Mauve shot a glare that made Karma impressed.
"Because, dipstick, I don't eat meat." she replied coldly.
"Oh come on, they're awesome! Here, try one!" Bug laughed, launching one at her.
Before Mauve could scream, Pawn moved and caught the meatball in his mouth, chewing it while the others were laughing.
"Kids, no throwing food across the table." Salomn stated, twirling some of the noodles around his fork.

Reena quietly ate some of hers, before putting her fork down and helping her little brother eat his own food. Remembering what Cory had said, Salomn kept silent. Taboo, however, was a different story.
"Hey, are you gonna finish that?" Taboo joked, sitting on Envy's lap while the young maren ate his own spaghetti. Reena merely looked at him, blinked, and put her hands in her lap and looked down, seeming to wilt.
"Hey! Leave my sister alone, you insensitive JERK!" Kokiri snapped at the doll, coming to her sister's defense.
"Hey, I was just KIDDING! Jeez! OOOWWWW!!" Taboo napped back, right before Envy yanked on his ear for causing trouble. Reena slowly picked up her fork, but just seemed to play with her food now, instead of eating it, while her brother smeared sauce all over his face and bib like war paint.
"...okay okay, sorry for hassling you! Stop being all depressed before Envy locks me in the attic again! YOW!! ENVY, STOP!!"
Reena blinked again, and ate some more, before pushing her plate away. "...I've had enough..." she mumbled.
"Okay, well there'll be leftovers later if you get hungry again, alright?" Salomn said, glaring at Taboo.
Reena nodded, before quickly turning around and running out.

Salomn and nearly every other child at the table immediately glared at Taboo.
"Hey! I apologized! What, do you want me to put on a pink dress and dance for the emo girl?!....wait, wait, I was just joking, no, no, let me go! OH GOD NOT THAT!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Reena was sitting on the couch, hugging her pillow. What was wrong with not eating a lot? She got sick whenever she ate even a little more than what she ate tonight, she'd been like that ever since that nightmare...was this a side effect of starvation for long periods of time?

She looked up, and blinked when she saw Speckles setting up a small stage, and Pawn attaching his threads to Taboo in a puffy pink dress. The doll's mouth was zipped shut, but the doll looked absolutely miserable.

What was going on...?

~~~One performance of Taboo being forced to dance to "Mr. Wonderful" later...~~~

"..." Reena was not sure how to react to that at all.
"Jeez, that song almost sounds perfect for my brother Celcus. Says Envy" Taboo grumbled sulkily.
"Celcus? The guy who Myu's stalking?" Reena asked,looking up.
"Wait, what?! Someone's stalking our brother?!" Salomn asked in disbelief.
"Yeah...Myu really likes him..." Reena whimpered, hiding her face in a pillow. Why did she have to mention THAT?!
"...huh. Well, that's unusual." Salomn commented, before shrugging and going to do dishes.
"Who wants to watch several hours of Monty Python with us?" Cory asked the group. Shouts of approval were heard all around.

~~~~~~~~Many hours later...~~~~~~~~~~~

Hanyuu and NiGHTS walked up to the front door, Reala carrying a sleeping Eve following behind them. NiGHTS knocked on the door, blinking when there was no answer. He tried opening the door, and opened it with ease.
"They left the door unlocked after all that...?" Hanyuu muttered, rolling her eyes.
"Hey now, don't get worked up again, Hanyuu..." NiGHTS chided her.
"Hanyuu merely smiled slightly, before walking in, holding the door open for the other three.

All the kids (and Salomn) were asleep in the living room, Reena, Orion, Envy, Taboo, and Salomn piled on the couch, Speckles, Cory, Mauve, Pawn, and Bug on a pile of cushions, Kokiri and Arctic on the armchair, and Karma on a bedmat.

"Who the hell is the new kid?!" Reala whispered, adjusting his grip on Eve.
"He's too young to be another hooker, he must be a friend of the kids..." NiGHTS whispered back.
"His name is Envy, he's a friend of Baby Ree's. When is Myu getting back?" Hanyuu whispered.
"Later in the day, I'm guessing. So should we wake them up?" NiGHTS asked quietly, Reala carrying Eve to bed.
Hanyuu merely rolled her eyes, and went to the linen closet, pulling out a stack of blankets for the sleepy kids (plus Salomn), before distributing them all and closing the heavy blinds.
"Those morons..." Hanyuu whispered, heading to hers and NiGHTS' room.
"Be that as it may, they're our morons..." NiGHTS added lightly, draping his arm over Hanyuu's shoulders as they headed off to their own bed.
