haha, I saw it on IMDB .... My friends went Beserk . There was a rumor of who Katniss was but I forgot . she had blonde hair tho, which is totally wrong . I hope your right . You should be the caster .

Yeah, I get that - it was really hard to find someone to portray her, photos are not easy to come across for someone like her character. Hopefully they will announce the cast for the movie soon!

They have announced Peeta and he just isnt right . They said GABRIEL LIOTTA is gonna be Peeta ! GABRIEL LIOTTA !! ARE THEY KIDDING ME !? He has Black STRAIGHT hair .... Peeta has BLOND CURLY hair ! Stick with your casting . Its wayyyy better !

Lol - don't panic, I'm pretty sure that 95% of the "announced casting" for the movie isn't legit. I highly doubt that they've decided on Peeta...I think they will go with Katniss first, then match up Peeta and Gale as far as the actress's age.

I liked her breakdowns because they were dramatic and realistic! That much emotional trauma is going to have a severe effect on the mentality of a seventeen year old! I thought the effects of *spoiler* Prim's death was portrayed very well.

Oh I completely agree...it was an incredibly depressing book, but I think it almost had to go that way. How else would a 17 year old girl who merely started all this to keep her sister safe end up even remotely ok after all of this? I'm so glad she ended up happy with Peeta at the end...and even was able to have kids...but yeah - all the turmoil, all the panic attacks...it was all necessary or it wouldn't have seemed feasible. I mean Katniss was never really a "warrior;" she was simply a girl who wanted to protect her little sister. :sad:

Yeah...I think the "mental disorientation" in the beginning wasn't neccecary, but the end really captured her inner turmoil. I did love how she ended up with Peeta

I sort of feel that the "Mentally disorientated" crap was another way for Coin to put her own stamp/label on Katniss - probably trying to add to her efforts of making Katniss feel insecure and lost. It was just Coin trying to enforce her "power/control" over others.

Possibly. But Katniss was acting really irresponsible throughout the book, and ignoring the rules in the beginning was probably not her best call.
