So Dr. Wily was bored one day and decided to look to the internet for something to do. So he started to browse various university websites looking to see if they had anything that could benefit him. He kept running into the most absurd majors. "}@(%!^% philosophy majors! Who studies just to think? There's nothing productive about that!" So he looked for a way to put these fools in their place. He found out about Diogenes' chicken incident and decided to build a robot based on it. Thus Featherless Biped Man was born. Dr. Wily gave him a neuron scrambling beam cannon in his chest to reduce these Philosophy Major fools to basic burger flipping mindset.
