220. It's the finish that transforms it. Tru-Oil gunstock finish.

Sorry, 1000 grit. I finish the wood with 220, then I wetsand with 400, 800, 1,000, dipping the sandpaper into a liberal amount of tru-oil.

I've never wet sanded with wood...so that renders a nicer finish?

Well, with true oil, you want it to seep into the wood. So the first coat is a flood coat. You flood it and as you work the sandpaper, it creates a slurry which you end up pushing into the wood. I guess that's what eventually gives you a glass finish, or matte. Whichever you're going for.

Strange and cool, definitely like your stuff, man. I mostly use a wax finish and haven't branched out much to be honest.
I don't play guitar but if I did I'd wanna
my own.
Do you sell yours? They're quite unique and high quality and you could really make a fortune, especially on Etsy for example
