Description I was listening to the song "Forest" by the Russian neo-classical band Caprice, and came up with a little story where a human enters a faerie forest while in search for something in the land of Faerie, gets lost and misguided by the faeries guarding the forest, but is saved by a faerie girl who leads him out of the forest while the guardians chase them (to capture the human and punish him). I'm not good at drawing mangas, but I'll try and draw a couple of scenes for this story. The guy and the faerie who saved him are very likely to become my OCs I need to think the story through further, though.

Wowie! I love the scale in this!! Makes me believe in faeries all over again!

And please do more scenes! This is one story I'd love to see unfold! Or at least do character sketches, please!

That's so beautiful, and I love the story idea too, you should totally make some OC's.
This forest looks very magical, btw I really like the subtle rays of light, they look nice.

Aww thanks, Neko-san! Your comments are always soooo nice And I also imagined the colours when I was drawing, btw... I don't use colours because I'm afraid of them, I guess I don't really have any nice coloured pencils, and if I just use the standard school ones, my pictures turn out as if a 5-year-old coloured them (they used to turn out like that, at least. Haven't tried colouring in a while)

Aw You so Silly. Im similar..then i remind myself, "If One does not Try, one cannot improve." (something like that) SO, B Brave n Just Go for it next time. and Who knows, you might just Surprise yourself.

Also, Try Using Water Pencils, they pricey but, buy a small pack, and then color the way You would and Afterwards You can take a wet brush and steadily um, "Fade/Blend" The pencils.

GO ON, TRY it! I Dare You! (hahaha)

Thanks very much! I do try and work on depth & perspective in backgrounds. It makes pictures so much more interesting

You did a great job shading, i particularly like those light rays peeking through the foillage ^^

And - thanks again! I'll try and think of a nice storyline around them, plus I need to design the characters. I'll be working on the next illustration soon, too. This is getting interesting You should listen to the songs I posted here as inspirations, btw - they're really beautiful!
