I'm breezing through the 100 Themes Challenge, I'm almost done! The way each Theme works is I draw the themes in the order they're shown, and write a story using the word or phrase that gives each theme its title at least once.

#96 - In the Storm

Scoff told me I need to be careful. He said that beyond these doors lies a scarlet foe... Could one of K.Rool's generals be an Orang-Trooper!? K-keep calm... Easy does it.

The moment I'm through the door, I'm immediately sent tumbling off a cliff! Fortunately, there happens to be a boat at the bottom when I land. Even better, I'm alive! Now, to wait until night.

Eventually, it starts raining, and someone eventually arrives at the wooden platform I've been staring at. I'm concerned, especially when they begin setting up a spiked tarp. If only they'd come here sooner; that silhouette is starting to creep me out! What if they're an Orang-Trooper!?

I have to turn on the light! I don't wanna keep being reminded of my past! At first glance, with the scarlet hair and white top that barely makes it past the figure's ribcage, I'm right! I'm barely conscious long enough to really notice it, but the figure seems to be reeling back from the light. A few seconds later I come to. To my relief, it's not an Orang-Trooper! It's someone else, with white tips on his bright orange mohawk! He seems to be basing his style off of a Pufferfish, judging by that similar-looking tarp.

And immediately, I'm being chased by his fireballs! I have to go through these rings, all the while avoiding these fireballs, working around an increasingly short time limit, and staying away from his general vicinity due to those shockwaves, all in the stormy night on this tiny little boat!

Eventually, I find that each ring I go through causes a lightning rod to appear, with five of them creating an electric current that gives him a mighty shock! As he's recovering, he says this to me: "You jerk! You don't know how much money I spent making that thing! Only four more electrical shocks and this thing's ruined!" Aha! A hint!

More rings, fireballs, shockwaves, and eventually an army of Puftups and a fire rain later, I eventually do destroy this precious tarp he loves so dearly. "FINE! You can take your stupid key. I'm out!" And he swims off forlornly.
