Hey guys,As you can see im taking a small break from my Digimon drawing marathon and decided to draw something from Dragonball Z.
For this sketch i used the HB/B/2B and the 7B pencil(yes the very small pencil thats about to go extinct or go to a musiem) plus the kneaded eraser and the stumps.
I'm really happy with the results im getting better and better at this and i think its very realistc.
Estimated time was around 7-8 hours.
Character name is Majin Boo from the anime series of Dragonball Z!

Yeah thank you my friend for the constant support and your right, stumps are worth it if you know how to use them. In most of my artworks i dint use it that often but on the last two ones i used it during the whole process and the results are outstanding. Im gonna keep using them.

Yeah, I have two #2 #3 from both of my Royal and Langnickel art sets. The stumps are awesome. Did you use it in the one with the armor? Looked like it, ain't no pencil can make good smooth stroke like that for long unless you're Mark Crilley, hahaa. You did pretty good on this one. I liked it. Although, I'm not a fan of fanart. I usually do my own kind of art, hehe.
The stumps really help bring out the texture and make all the effort worth while.

I will be honest with you... I dint use it at all, in fact i dint had stumps and probably i never heard of them. Both the two "Berserker" arts where made with just only a 2B mechanic pencil and a kneaded eraser. Im really suprised how much effort i put on those arts without the help of other tools such as different pencils types or the stumps...

I used to use just a tiny eraser from a mechanical pencil and just a mechanical pencil. I made some pretty awesome drawings. And did smudges with my fingers. I didn't get the stumps until recently before Christmas and on Christmas.

Yeah another method is using your finger index to smooth the lining process but its not really my style to make my hands dirty during drawing cause you could easily smudge the whole paper before you know it and sometimes it gets anoying plus you always gotta go to the bathroom to clean your self up, so yeah stumps are much better
