I really love what you did to Ghidorah's design. It's so awesome you made a more realistic take on him with a more modernized dragon/wyvern look. You should draw more of him, this is so cool!
I would love the idea he and Godzilla are both rival alpha predators. I like that you said that the two eventually developed a grudging respect but still hate each other. It would just be weird for them to get along.
I'm guessing the kaijus in your universe have the parasitic MUTO creatures as their natural enemies. And these two are one of the few kaijus strong enough to hunt them down.

Now THIS is how I hope King Space Dragon looks in the next film. Slimmed down a little with wings that look like they can actually make King G, you know, fly. I especially like how his membranes are connected to his tails because he resembles the dragon version of a swallowtail butterfly.

I grew up with "Ghidorah, the Three-headed Monster" and I grew a HUGE liking to the Showa Ghidorah (the Heisei I refer to as "King Ghidorah" and the GMK Version I refer to as "Imposter" or, more commonly, "B.S.").

Correction: In "Ghidorah, the Three-headed Monster", he wasn't under any control whatsoever. He was on his own, and it wasn't until "Invasion of the Astro-Monster" the next year that he was under someone's control. Also, as much as I hate GMK, I have to admit that the "Ghidorah" (aka "Imposter") wasn't under any control as well.

I was also under the impression that GMK was either an alternate universe or outside the main canon since that's his only heroic role to date.

There are multiple Ghidorahs, for Ghidorah is it's own species, The one in Final Wars and in GMK are both Pre-mature Orochi's who never got the chance to grow up.

Outside of those two (since both films fall outside of canon), I was under the impression it was the same dragon each time since films he appears in make mention of the other times he's caused trouble.
Then again, one could say the same for the Ghidorah that grew from the three Dorats in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.

You'd never know from how the human characters talk about him. My version of King Ghidorah (a humanized version for my story) is all of them at once, except for GMK/
