Description
This is a request from my teacher, yes, my teacher, who is using Hetalia to help students learn about geography. Last week she emailed me about a project that she was starting to fill in countries that haven't been Hetalia-ized yet. I was so happy when she told me that she wanted me and my other friend who were in her class two years ago to make a few Hetalia OC's. Since I already had Curacao, Bonaire, and Aruba, those projects were already done.

During vacation, I spent a few hours doing research on European countries. One of my cousins, who lives in Norway, recommended that I should humanize Faroe Islands. I thought it was a great idea and she helped me put together her design

Scarf - Represents the colors of the Faroese flag (red-white-blue cross)
Sheep - Faroe = sheep in Faroese, but in her younger years she was pictured with a bird, because when the island was founded one part was called 'Bird Island' and the other part 'Sheep Island.'
Scar - After the vikings slaughtered most of the Faroese people, this left a great mark on the ethnics of the Faroe Islands - and a mark on her.

Uniform Guide

Normal - Faroe Islands wears a white-red-blue scarf with a dark blue vest overlapping a light blue long-sleeved shirt. She wears jeans below her knee-length white boots and has a black head band with two pigtails.

Chibi - As a chibi, Faroe wore a long white jacket with a hood over gray baggy pants and small black boots. She had messy, short blonde hair, making her look and mistaken as a guy.

Traditional - Faroe Islands wears this dress on rare occasions - it is a red and blue dress. The top is strapped by string and the middle has a black belt. The dress has a red bottom with a blue 'apron' over it and a blue mini-poncho over the top piece.*

Personality and Interests

Faroe is a very cold and shy at the surface, but has a warm and loving personality to her friends. Though she is nice, the only friends she has is Iceland (which is the second closest country to her house) and her sheep. Faroe isolates herself from the rest of the Nordic guys and hates being the center of attention. She is known for killing whales, which tends to make people panic, but Faroe is blinded by her cruelty to them, due to the fact that she has been doing it for so long. (Pilot whale killer D:<) Because most Faroese meals have fish, meat, and potatoes, she doesn't like sweet food. She has a scar

Relationships with Other Countries

Denmark
Denmark and Faroe have a very strange relationship. She doesn't really like how he claimed her island as his but appreciates how he helps her with the economy and everything.

Norway
Norway discovered Faroe Islands - she, like Denmark, feels neutral about him. He took care of her for a long time but after a while she decided to be independent. (There was actually a point in time when a lot of people in Norway went to Faroe Islands for religious freedom and avoid punishment, but eventually people went back to Norway.)

Iceland
Iceland is Faroe's only friend. (Forever alone much? lol) Though she's afraid to admit it, she has a crush on him~ To Iceland, Faroe is just a good friend. The two have worked together recently to solve economic problems (though Denmark does about 80% of the taxes, etc.). One day, Iceland gave Faroe Islands 52 million dollars, because (apparently) he felt woe for her bad money managment. ( I hate using Wikipedia but I couldn't find the original website I saw it on. But if you really want to, it's here: [link] In the economy section~) And whenever she (or any other Faroese people visit, in fact) Iceland discounts prices for all Faroese people (who apparently have to have a Faroese passport.)

England
During WWII, England decided to claim Faroe Islands. Denmark quickly got her back after Germany forced her into joining the Axis. (I guess that's one of the few times she actually thought he was okay )

Character Notes:
Since the average Faroese women is 5'7 and Faroe Islands is a micronation, I had to balance it out. So she is 5'4. (SHORTY.)
I didn't create this character just to pair her up with a canon character. (Yeah, I know this might sound weird, but this is the only Hetalia OC I have paired with a canon character.)
I didn't make the blue-and-red dress her normal clothing like other Faroe Island creators have. Since my cousin who helped me put together this character visited Faroe Islands five times already, she told me about some of the clothing Faroese women wear. the red and blue dress is TRADITIONAL. To put this in words for others - that's like making a Netherlands OC and putting on those pointy white hats, clogs, and black dresses, which is nowhere close to what Dutch people wear.
