Here's one of the very few commissions I agreed to do at the San Diego con. Finished it at home cause it's just impossible to work there without being an ass and ignoring people
I rarely do commissions cause I always have my plate full with Marvel work. It has to be pretty convincing. wink wink.

I just started doing live sketches but I already know exactly what you mean. This however is great work. Did you use watercolor pencils? I really like the shadowing and texture of the hair, well done.

I've only used a pose reference for the psylocke piece. everything else I draw are usually not referenced.

Wow, that's cool, because when you're drawing (especially) Luke Cage he looks realistic to me, everytime I'm trying to draw a tough character like Cage, I always failed, maybe I should use your arts as reference?
