Yeah, let's remember how mercilessly Chara killed Flowey, even being fully aware it was essentially Asriel. Can Chara even feel remorse anymore? Just pretend it's possible for a moment.

Not Chara. Believe it or not, there's reason to believe that was Geno-Frisk. After all, we see Frisk act on his own in pacifist and neutral, it stands to reason that Frisk's actions in genocide are a lot more murdery.
Plus, there's the issue of Sans. When the killing blow is fired, the one that 9,999,999s him, we can see a tiny white flash just above it as the attack is launched. And Sans's death doesn't increase our kill counter. So we can see that when Chara takes control and kills, the attack has a white flash. That flash is absent for Flowey and Asgore's killing.
No flash, no Chara.
