So that was it. His first mission as team leader…
Forte wasn’t exactly expecting a sudden hostage situation to pop up, literally out of nowhere. The Minun shook for a bit, recalling his guild leaders voice as his words sank deep into the depths of his long blue ears.

He trembled, almost completely shaken by the importance of his first task. A lot was on stake at the moment, and if he planned incorrectly, it could cost Jasmine her life, something he didn’t want to think about.

“We’ve got a bit situation on our paws!” He remember Mike saying as he gathered groups of other Rescuers, Merchants, and Rogues. “Well…actually not a bit, more like huge and pretty gosh darn serious! You know Jasmine? The one who got us all to work hard and plant all these seeds and trees, and pretty much clean the place up? Yeah, she’s being held hostage by some crazy Zoroark and her kid here is gonna help us.”

As Forte observed, there stood a Zorua child next to PK and Mike. It seemed a little funny to him, seeing as the Zorua that had joined TnB not too long ago didn’t look so…well intimidating and untrustworthy. Of course if this child was with the guild leaders, everything was supposed to be okay with them too, right?

“Now listen up real good! Because this is really important!” Spoke the little Zorua. Forte prepped his ears ready to listen to what he or she had to say.

“You gotta be extra quiet you hear? My momma doesn’t want anyone around, at all! If she knows anyone is around, then she’ll definitely kill the green one! And you gotta watch for my other siblings too! If anything goes wrong, it’s most definitely your fault!”

The Zorua child gave a huff at the finish of the speech. Forte looked to his sister, who returned his gaze upon noticing it. She stared for a little bit and gave him a small smile. “Well, what’s the plan team captain?” She asked him. “Do you wanna do this or not? It’s up to you.”

Thus, leading them back to where he was now.

A decision.

This would be his first mission ever! He could make the plans, get Piano to listen for once, and make sure to make her proud! He wouldn’t let her trust in him go to waste; it was something he simply could not do!

He was nervous of course, but with someone’s life on the line, now wasn’t the time right? There was no time to be scared, and he was sure that Mike and PK needed to get all the help that they could possibly find. If they were to back out now, the possibility of the mission becoming a failure was sure to change.

But even with them going, the outcome of failure was still possible as well…

“Forte…dear?”

Ack! Wow, he was completely lost in thought wasn’t he? He turned to Rita, finding her looking his way with concern in her eyes.

“As…much as I’d love to join on this situation…don’t you think it’s a tad dangerous for you two? I mean, I know I’m the new one of the bunch here, but if anything were to happen to you two, what do I say to Glisa? She’d be devastated, and I wouldn’t want either of you getting hurt badly.”

Forte thought for a while…she was most definitely right about one thing. If something happened to them, then Glisa’s letter would have gone in vain would it not?

Decisions, decisions, decisions…

“Watch out for illusions too.” PK said, stepping forward to the crowd. “Seriously, no games. No playing around, no anything. I’m not taking any goofballs or idiots along with me, so if you’re gonna be all laughing and making noise everywhere, you might as well go home and let the grown ups take care of it. If you get Jasmine killed, I’m gonna make sure the ones who caused it get it understand?”

Forte looked back at Rita and Piano. Looking back into the crowd of Pokemon, it also seemed like decisions were being made. Some leaving, parts of teams leaving and wishing luck to their partners, and other teams gathering together with others in order to strengthen moral.

“What do you wanna do Rita?” Forte asked, turning around to face the dark type. She gave him a look, as if she weren’t entirely sure herself. Lowering both her ears and head, she gave the Minun an ashamed look. “I-I’m sorry.” She said, pawing the ground nervously. “I-I honestly don’t mind coming along but…I’m not sure how much use I’d be…it seems like something like this requires stealth and…you know, I’m supposed to be good at that, but I’ve been a little clumsy lately.”

She sighed, parking her bottom to the grass underneath. “But I want to make sure you two will be safe. So I’ll make sure to buck up and concentrate hard!”

She gave a clever smile to the two, her tail wagging about. “I don’t mean to be a sad case of course! But I gotta do it for Glisa you know?”

The Siblings nodded at her, Piano turning back to her brother. “Sssssso what? Are we going or not?”

“Definitely going.” He replied, fixing the position of his fedora. “I-it’ll be good practice as team leader and for future missions! I-I bet if I do this right, I-I’d feel more confident as team leader!”

“So Treble’n’Bass is in! Alright!” Piano gave a fist pump into the air. Obviously she was excited…. Forte made note of that.

“So here’s what’s happening.” Mike started up again, looking into the crowd.
“We’re separating into two groups! Rescuers and Merchants are coming with me! We’re gonna surround the area this kid says her mother occupies! Rogues will be—“

PK stepped in front of the Charmander, placing a paw in front of his face as she did so.

“And Rogues are comin’ with me! I’m going to lead you into the heart of the forest. And PUH-LEASE follow the kid’s instructions! I’m not at fault for anyone who gets lost!”

Nodding at each other, the Trio made their way to the group Mike was leading, Forte’s heart pounding with both fear and uncertainty… Hopefully he made the right choice.

Samantha and Curtus had as well been to the meeting once everyone had been gathered. The Zangoose had been celebrating with her friends at the Spinda Café a while ago until her partner interrupted the happy moment, baring news of another task, apparently of great importance. Until the word “hostage” came in, Sammy didn’t really care up until that point until the Rescuer’s leader had said something about it at the gathering.

Ever since this little event had taken place, She had taken quite the liking to planting and such. For once she actually felt it was an activity that could probably turn into a hobby, seeing as she had gained much interest when they first started out planting with CJ.

But with news of Jasmine in trouble, her usual serious appearance took over once more; ears listening sharply as every single word were spoken.

For sure, this mission was indeed a dangerous one, essentially since she and her partner had a young one in their party now. As much as she wanted to help out, they probably would have to sit this one out.

“What’ya think?” She asked, turning to the Panpour. Curtus gave a concerned expression, holding onto Flandre more closely than he was before.

“We could helps…but someone’s gotta look after Flanny.” He said, sighing a bit. “Ah really dun wanna duck outta dis one Sammeh, but we gotta keeps her safe! Den again, deys is gonna need all da helps dey can gets…”

She nodded at him, looking back at the group ahead of them.

Guess this was one mission Blue Crown was going to have to sit out of for now.

As they turned to leave however, Samantha felt a tug on her tail. Turning around, she found a Pachirisu with a blue bowtie, starting up at her with a wide grin on his face.

“Hey’a toots!” He greeted with a wave of his paw. “Remembuh me?”

She blinked, narrowing her eyes a little bit at the squirrel. “….Allegro or something?” She replied, recalling a faint memory in the back of her head.

“Yeah, yeah! I was jus’ wonderin’ if ye’ two were goin’ on dis thing! Since we helped each’udduh out durin’ t’storm with Sorbet, I was thinkin’ we could team up again!”

“We can’t Allegro.” She responded once again, kneeling down to the electric type. “We sorta have a kid someone has to watch her. We’re kind of out on this one.”

Allegro raised an eyebrow, his face twisting a little as his head tilted with it. “Well dats a bummer.” He said, his ears lowering a bit. “But hey wait! What if one’a you goes, eh? I’m sure we could do good if we worked like a two man team ye’ know? We’ll knock d’eys block off! Give’em the ol’ one two togeta’ ya know what I mean?”

She sighed, already annoyed with his persistence. “Allegro” She started out, putting her paw in front of him. “We can’t, the protection of this kid is more important right now. We’ll let the others handle it. If we didn’t have her, we’d gladly team up, but this is a matter of making sure she’s okay. We need to be here for her.”

“Actualleh!” Curtus started out, coming in between the two. “Allegros rights tew Sammeh!”

“Eh?” She turned to her partner, a little bewildered. “What do you mean exactly?”

Curtus gave a big grin, brining the Poochyena closer to him. Flandre nuzzled into his chest, clinging onto her parental figure.

“They do needs all duh helps dey can gets! Ah’kin watch Flanneh jus’ fine so duh protectin’ part Is all gewd! I ain’ts gonna let’er outta mah sights like ah dids b’fer! If ye’ go wit Allegro, it’ll help everyone out! Plus Ah knows yews is realleh sneakeh! Yew were trained dat way, so yews could be very helpfuls!”

His grin grew wider, his tail wagging just a small bit.

“Ah knows you’ll be fine! I ain’t worried about’cha! Go kick some Zer’ark butt!”

She had to let that register for a bit before realizing that Curtus was okay with her going alone. But he was right. Protecting Flandre was important, but saving Jasmine was also important and if they could cover both grounds, well then that was just good for them wasn’t it?

“Alright.” She said, nodding as she stood up.

“Come on Pipsqueak, we’ve got a job to do.”

Nodding, Allegro climbed up Samantha, resting himself on her shoulder.

“Ain’t no worries now toots!” He said with a toothy grin.

“We’re gonna rock dis party fo’sho’!”
