Really like this one! And wonder of wonders! You spelt Kimmuriel's name correctly! You have no idea how manny spell it wrongly! Really great work here! Love it!

Yeah, but some manage to do it just the same!
When you get to know Entreri's whole story, I think you begin to understand how one who seems so hard, unyeilding & cold, can actually have feelings, but they were buried ohhhhh so deep! Idala's flute had something to do with it also & Jarlaxle's constant prodding in trying to help Artemis, whom he really does see as a friend.
Though Entreri persued Drizzt so determinedly, Drizzt saw in him what he could have ended up like & when he could have killed Artemis, did not.
These characters are complex & deep, all in their own way, but not everyone see's it, or do not take the time to try.
I think you have captured Artemis's inner turmoil very well!

Yeah, but I find Drizzt deep too, in his own way. What a formidable team they make when they have to work together too!!
As for Arte, I think there is more coming about him & of course he has Miss Dwarval!!

Yeah, Drizzt & Arte are like two sides of a coin. Yet in many ways, they are also alike?
You are right about Jarl & Arte, I mean, you just cannot go wrong! I really hope Sal does more with them!
As for Arte & Dwahval, yes, unusual but interesting? Sorry, I think I might have spelt her name wrong on the other reply?
Don't give up on Drizzt but, all kinds of new stuff coming & they are not getting it all their own way either. Have you read the new Transitions books yet? I think you will find that things are changing. While Drizzt might be predictable in many ways, there are dire times coming.
I also loved Pharaun in the War of the Spider Queen series, though I think the last book fell on it's face. Really did not resolve much. But then I am an old gamer/gamemaster [over 25yrs] and to me, it could have been done better. Though Sal was behind it, I don't think it works having a different writer for each book.
Have you read any of David Gemmells books, if not, you would love the Waylander books [3 in all]. George R.R. Martin's, Song of Ice & Fire is great too, especially if you like things to be unpredictable. He is very good at characterization & there are so many in this! First book is Game of Thrones, & he is not afraid of killing off important characters either!

Oh they sure are, even though they don't like it
Well, I've heard that Salv had signed a contract on writing another 'dakr elf' trilogy, I hope Arti or Jar will be involved there
I suppose Dwahval is the only one who truly cares about Artemis, although I'm not sure if there could be anything more than friendship between them. Well, I think friendship is often more solid than love. =]
As for spelling - that's OK, you just can't imagine how the characters' names are distorted in our translation, from Dzirt instead of Drizzt to Llos instead of Lolth ))
You know, I gave up reading Salvatore a couple of years ago, although I still admire these books and their characters. It's just that my passions change very often and don't last longer than one-two years. This is kinda trait of mine. Still, these books changed my life and pushed me into the world of fantasy, and this was one of the best periods in my life. =]
Oh yeeeeah, the War of the Spider Queen! One of my favorite book series)) I just fell in love with Ryld and Pharaun.
Though the last books... uhm. There is something strangely attractive in those hellish lower plains, I was even scared a bit while reading and imagining the surroundings. But it seemed to me that every next author just didn't knew what to do with the characters and events introduced by the previous author, so in the last books the writers decided just to get rid of all of the characters radically. By killing them, yes. I managed to live through Ryld's death (wailing for half an hour ), but after reading the last book I just wanted to find the author and kill him with this book.
No, I haven't. =[ Well, I do like unpredictable things, but I'm not a fan of killing important characters. Anyway, thanks for the recommendations, I'll try to find them.

HAHAHA I agree about the last book & the author! Of all people, why would you want to kill of Pharaun!! I have not read the last book because I found out about it before I read it. Killed it for me!
And Ryld, yeah! AArrrgggghh!!
Yeah try those others, you will looovvee Waylander, sounds like your kind of guy!!
I know I love him! OH! & Gemmell wrote a 3 book series on TROY too! Sadly we lost him before the last Troy book was published [really hit me when I found out, so sad], but they had his notes, it was virtually finished, his wife helped put it together.

Yeah, Ryld's death is so dramatic, and Pharaun's - terrible and sickening. >.<
Ah, that's really sad =[
Btw, do you know if these books can be found somewhere in the net? I'm afraid they are not sold here =[

Yeah, stupid really, Ryld & Pharaun were the best characters of them all!!
As for loosing David, yeah, he was such a great writer! Really good at characterization!
Also battlescenes & how war affects people.
Your best bet would be ebay, You see them all the time there, but only problem is they might not have the first book but third etc, you sort of have to wait until one comes up, but sometines you will find someone has a whole series or at least trilology. You just got to be patient I suppose.
Ebay would be best, if you can access it because you can get really good deals there, but if not, try Abe Books, Amazon & there is one store on ebay doing really cheap deals, I will have to get the proper name, it's Nile something, will find it & let you know.
Will get back to you.

Oh,I did not realise, but I am glad you found it, you will love it! Then I would love to see you do a piece of art on Waylander, there are not many here, only a few. Believe me, after you read it, you will want to. But to get a copy from online free, try rapidshare pdf, they could have the others maybe?
Happy reading!!
PS. Whatever you do, do not read the last Wayander book till you have read the other tow, it will spoil everything for you, has a great ending!

I love drawings with quotes from the books and this one is very nice. He looks like he doesn't quite know if he wants to be angry or sad.
