Description Black leopard ( Panthera pardus sp. )
Luena, 9 years old female, and one of her 3 months old cubs

3 cubs were born 30/06/2014 from male Pepito and female Luena.

Are you sure it's a leopard?
The head seems a tad massive for a leopard?
Could be because it's black, that it appears like this.

But as I see this picture, it looks more like a jaguar (Pantera onca)?

No, I'm sure it's a leopard. I can show you a picture of the presentation pannel in the zoo if you want, and I already saw jaguars, they're much more massive than this ! And look at the spotts

Well, the spots are fairly fuzzy (I run my screen in very high definition).
I asked because I was not sure whether it was the black pelt giving me the impression of the massive head, or that the head was indeed massive for a leopard.
I was under the impression that leopards had a finer snout...

At any rate, Miss, I am thankful for sharing these pictures.
They are very nice, indeed!
