African lion ( Panthera leo)The zoo has 3 african lions : a male and 2 lionesses. The male has no tail, and don't ask me why, I don't know. All I know is that these lions where confiscated from a circus where they were mistreated.

I'm more used to say " Atlas lion ", because we say " lion de l'Atlas " in French. But yes, it's the same than " Barbary lion " !
Bali was one of them. He was the biggest big cat I've ever seen, with a particularly intense gaze, and a very big black mane. The more impressive lion I saw. He died in spring 2010 at 22 years old. I've an old photo of him in my gallery : [link]
