I was cleaning out my iPad when I came across this Pinoko I drew nearly a full year ago now. She was just some quick perspective practice thing. I realized I’ve never posted it, and since I’ve been really slow in posting thing lately, I figured I might as well.Related content

This is such cute perspective practice, love it! And I think you've done really well here. The colors are soft but still somehow vibrant and the whole picture is kind of... pleasantly simple? idk how to explain things lol

Aw, thanks! I kinda got to a point where I didn't care much about nitpicking (thank Hylia) so I guess that helped with making it simple and not fussing over it too much.

Aww, what a cute Pinoko! And knowing her, I know she will not easily let go of Black Jack. Her expression and the clothing folds where she clenches the cloth are nice details.
You know, this reminds me of the fact that we basically started talking because of that Miiverse post I made comparing Pinoko and Piyoko. It feels so long already!

Thank you! I struggle with perspective, so I thought it would be something fun to try. And of course, with Pinoko being so short, she would be a good test subject.

That's a good idea, to test out perspectives with characters of different heights. I'll use that for practice myself! Pinoko's design is quite handy to practice with, now that I think about it. She has simple shapes but still enough details that makes her very distinct - and fun to draw!
It's a little disorienting for me to actually remember that Miiverse ended in 2017 - it's not a full year yet, but it sometimes feels so recent and sometimes so long ago.

Pinoko's design is quite fun! I also love how bright her colors are. It really fits with her personality.
I can completely relate. Sometimes I'll spontaneously think to myself, "I should draw something on Miiverse today," but then I remember that it shut down. This year as a whole has really sped by!
