Thank you!
In my excitement I thought it was as rare specie but it was only a dunnock warming up in the sunshine. But I still like it.

It would have been great if it had been a rare bird but it is such a lovely shot just the same. I love how clear the bird is, and how soft the background.

Yes, it only gets worse as you get older... I have found that my distance vision has become better (but still not that good) and my close vision is getting worse. I don't wear glasses to drive anymore but I can read very little without them. I'm always having to go find my glasses!

I have been using Multifocale ( or is it progressive) glasses for years now. But still, my vision is getting worse and worse. But it's easy, you only need one. So you never have to look for them and they adapt to the sunlight because I'm very sensitive for sunlight.
Did you have surgery on your eyes? Better vision while getting older? Or has it something to do with what happened a few years ago?

No surgery, just changing with age. I had the progressives for a long time but lost a fairly new pair. While I was waiting for them to turn up I used the reading magnifiers that you can get very cheaply. I found that I actually like them better! Except for putting them on and off all the time... The reading part on the progressives was so small I was limited in where I could move my eyes and still read. Reading newspapers made my eyes water. The eye doctor said my distance vision had become normal almost, and my middle vision only needed a little correction. So I do pretty well with the cheap ones and I don't worry about losing them! The expensive ones never did turn up... but I don't miss them.

I'll tell you what my mother told me.... Turn 50! No kidding, my eyes weren't that bad, really, and age changed them so parts are better and parts are worse...

But I'm already 52!! I must be the acceptation to the rule. I always tell my mom and dad they should have mad more effort. If you know what I mean.
