It's been awhile! No, I'm not dead, I'm just the slowest artist ever.Also.. well, Super Mario Maker. I think that alone is a valid explanation of vanishing. And when not that Sm4sh U. And when not that Mario Kart 8. And when not that drawing. And when not that income earning. And maybe a little Harvest Moon FoMT [GBA] fix here and there. And a sprinkle of Donkey Kong '94 [GB].
I think I like video games.
Anyway! About the WIP. This is actually just zoomed in on one panel. Yeppers, this is a mini-comic. To show off about what half a page of my Yoadi comic will look like. ..Minus the color. I'm not sure if you can tell, but this is drawn in the recently updated Art Academy Home Studio. I must say, the coloring is much nicer and easier to get into than it was on Sketchpad. And the coloring mediums actually look like what they represent. Colored pencils have this faded sketchy look, the pastels gives a thick and waxy solid looking color, and the paints.. well, you get the idea. I'm loving this software. It makes me yearn for a more digital art software like an equivalent of Colors! 3D on 3ds with layers and such, but I'm happy with what this is going for.
So anyway! This mini-comic is a sequel to the picture, 'Lend a Hand?' You know, where Toadette was a bit.. open with Mario. Maybe a little too much. I won't give away everything, but I'm planning more pages to follow this. I'll do some in between the real comic coming, just something on the side.
You know, because I need more to draw when I can't even get one submission a month. 8D
I'll just say that Peach knows what she did and decides to punish her by making her rub lotion on all of their friends at their beach day. Which doesn't sound all that bad.. but with these colorful friends, just you wait. ;D

I'm also glad to see that you're actually making the "Lend a Hand" picture into an actual mini-comic (considering that was one of my favorite artworks :3).
I also like the art style as well. Seems like Art Academy is really looking good for you!
Aaaaaand, judging by the clip, Luigi seems excited for some reason(probably because of Daisy), Mario looks... like he's trying not to enjoy what he's seeing, Toadette looks pissed, and Daisy looks relaxed. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Also, I was wondering... how many pages/panels are going to be in this Comic?
Nevertheless, I'm glad to see that you're back!
P.S: At least give us some indication that you're still alive, if you're going to be away for awhile. X3

Sorry about that. I'll try to write a journal or two if it becomes too long between submissions. I actually didn't realize it's been two months of silence until today. XD
It won't be a completely flowing story or anything, just each page or so dedicated to a different Mario character interacting with Toadette, basically. ;D I figure my shameless fanservice should at least hold some substance behind it with some personality and character. Hehe.
So each page will have varied amounts of panels. Some characters might span into maybe two or three pages if I think of something humorous, but otherwise it'll mostly be one different character per page. As for how many.. since there's not really a story or anything, I'll just kind of do it when I feel inspired. I have four characters thought up right now, but I plan to actually work on 'Yoadi' after this page is done. I have a friend on standby with a computer and photoshop to help me with some edits. Since the canvas is wide in AA, I'm stacking two of them to make one page. So I'll have to plan it carefully per half page.
You're pretty much right, as usual! If you notice Daisy's sporting bikini bottoms, but the top seems undone. Which seems to be summoning a few peeping plumbers. And Toadette is now sporting a one-piece suit.. I wonder who's idea that was. ;D

Well, this is actually the kind of information I want to hear anyway! Considering that I'm very curious, I'll practically enjoy a page full of info if I have to! XD
I can only imagine the kinds of trouble Toadette will be running into, like rubbing lotion on Wario's belly! (Hairy!) XD

I think that's what's going to be both cute and devious about Peach who'll be next [my interpretation, but also Peach in the RPG games] She'll be her 'pure' self, but have that subtle deviousness and awareness of the situation. And be a bit of a sore loser, like in the Strikers games. And her punishments seem like nothing, but it's scary once it's set in motion. X3

Poor Toadette indeed... I don't think this was how she imagined her beach day to be. XD
Last Question: Will there be anymore teasers, or will you automatically start uploading a page(s) when you're finished?
Tbh, I don't really care just as long as you don't leave me hanging. (Not that you intend to or anything...)

Both in the drawing that started this and the 'Toadette' drawing, she's had unfortunate beach experiences. I think she's calling it quits after this. Haha.
Probably just pages. Maybe if I vanish again another preview. I had nothing to post, so it's kind of all I had at the moment. XD
There are plenty of better, more interesting artists and art pieces though. Not that I'm not grateful! I'm glad you enjoy it a lot. I guess I'm not used to it. XD I really appreciate your fondness though, thank you. =3
