It's neat to see the reference photo with a character that doesn't actually look like the reference. I like it when people do that. The freckles are great and I like her eyes.

References are just that for me. I hardly ever really copy them, there's mostly something about them that I like and try to incorporate in my drawing. Here it was the sideways glance over the shoulder that I found so appealing.
Hehe, glad you liked the freckles, I so love them, but it seems to me less and less children (people) have them, nowadays. But it might also be that I'm in the wrong country, lol.

you know, I think you are right about the freckles. I do still see them, but not the full faced sort. Just the spattering across the cheeks and nose usually. Never see the pale ones with all freckles anymore. I think people are too tan these days. And the female population who may have them probably cover them with make up.
It's interesting though, it has seemed like the red head population has gotten much larger than it used to be. Weird the way things come and go.

We don't have that many natural redheads, only about 2% of the population sport a ginger mane. Blond is much more common, especially in children, but they tend to get darker hair when they hit puberty, so most of them have brownish hair in the end.
