Title: DreamyMedium: Schmincke watercolours on Moleskine watercolour pad
Note: Lately I've been testing the Moleskine watercolour pad with different media and I've noticed that it's really good for watercolour. It's quite smooth but has enough tooth to take brush strokes easily without them getting streaky. There's hardly any backrun which normally is a problem with smooth paper, and the paper hardly buckles, which is a bonus, too. However, it has to be said that I've been only working on smaller surfaces, so buckling might be an issue with larger washes. That paper allows very find detail as well as smooth washes. Very satisfied with that pad!

This paper seems really nice.Β But now that I have seen Schmincke on the moleskine I have to say it does look a little smoother than the previous brand paints.Β Especially the background!!Β This is a lovely drawing, what a pretty girl!Β I love her eyelashes (and again the cheeks hehe)

Yes, it is nice, indeed. Schmincke colours are more delicate than the Mijello colours that seem to granulate more. Harrison-Tustain uses only Schmincke for her gorgeous paintings. youtu.be/vLtZoFoKROU

Doch, das Moleskine Aquarellbuch ist durchaus empfehlenswert. Das Papier wirkt sehr glatt und hat einen gelblichen Ton. Es ist perfekt fΓΌr Aquarellfarbe, aber mit Buntstift sieht man die KΓΆrnung sehr stark. Hier ist ein Beispiel fΓΌr Farbstift auf diesem Papier:
