This is a point commission done by *Shini-Smurf , uploaded with her permission.Anyone who knows that I'm a reborn Smurfs nut should know that I love PoetxSmurfette. I see a special connection between the two whenever I watch episodes that include them together. To me, they at least make more sense as a couple than HeftyxSmurfette.
Anyway, I hope you guys like this, regardless of pairing preferences for Smurfette if you're a follow Smurfs fan.

gI love PoetxSmurfette too! I don't really care for HeftyxSmurfette, even though I like Hefty because he's a good friend for Smurfette and Handy and he doesn't like to put up with Brainy, but doesn't outright hate him.

Agreed.^_^ I like Hefty, but he and Smurfette just have that generic feeling when it comes to romantic chemistry. Same goes for him and Handy as a possible couple. Yet, both couples are just out-flat popular in the fandom.-_-;

Same thing for why they ship Brainy with Gutsy...-_-; I've really come to adore Gutsy as of late, but I can't see him as a homosexual. In fact, save for maybe Enamored and Clumsy, I can't see any of the Smurfs as anything but heterosexuals. With Enamored and Clumsy, I see them as heteroromantic pansexuals.

I've seen fanfics with Brainy being friends with both of them and Grouchy and Jokey being evil, and the latter angers me to no end. I think Jokey likes Brainy more than Grouchy does.

I hate fanfics that has ANY of the Smurfs being OOC. I know someone on here has portrayed Smurfette as being evil in her current form in their stuff and seeing that pisses me off. Okay, I get that not everyone likes Smurfette, but for the love of Pete, at least respect her character as it is!

Oh no, it wasn't Lili's fanfic because I know that any 'bashing' she does is a joke. Plus, I sat through her parody fic, knowing that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. This person actually hates Smurfette and has altered the relationship between Smurfette and Sassette to suit their needs. Again, people have the right to their opinions, but still...

This artist was extremely rude to one of Smurfette's fan boys in a pic that portrayed Smurfette as a transgender people hater with a male-to-female OC of theirs. He was polite to them, regardless of their behavior, but they eventually hid the comments and apologized. Nevertheless, I came pretty close to telling this person off for being a jackass, but I resisted the temptation because I knew that it would've been pointless.

It's basically when Abnormal Smurf(ette) *the name is like that because the creator's gender fluid* first came to the village and Smurfette was bullying Sassette because of what Sassette is. Abnormal tells Smurfette off and basically adopts Sassette. I believe that there is more, but I only remember that much.

Even if Smurfette was mean, she isn't the only Smurf who has authority over Sassette. All the other adults Smurfs do too. So how would Adnormal adopt Sassette when she was pretty much already adopted by all the other Smurfs?

Off subject, even though all of the Smurfs are hundreds of years old, I believe that physically, the Smurflings are 5 the other Smurfs are 15 and Papa Smurf is in his forties or fifties. Which makes sense because the Smurfs are obviously grown up, but still rely of their father a lot.

I agree with the Smurflings being five human years. Same goes for Papa being in his early 40s. It just makes sense. To me, the other Smurfs' ages vary, but most of them are at least 15 - 21 human years to me. With Gutsy, I see him as at least 22 -24 human years, so he's a little older than his brothers. Again, the age for adult Smurfs is 150, so yeah, it works.

That makes sense because Gutsy has sideburns. Maybe he's the oldest, and I imagine Jokey and Clumsy being the youngest adult Smurfs and Brainy being somewhere in the middle of all of them. Maybe Hefty being one of the oldest but still in his teens. I can't think up ages for all of them though.

I definitely see Gutsy as the oldest. As for Jokey and Clumsy, I see them as younger adult Smurfs, but not the youngest, either. I see Scaredy being the youngest adult Smurf. Brainy would definitely be amongst the middle child pile. Although a collection of one-shots on FF.net has Brainy as the youngest adult Smurf. Hefty's one of the older Smurfs in my head canons. Same here, especially since all of the Smurfs can easily be delivered by stork within months of each other during the same year.

Last night I had a dream that there was a new species of Smurfs that were sea foam green. But unlike the purple Smurfs, they were nice.

This is simply adorable to the nth degree. And finally, someone else who ships PoetxSmurfette. Remember when I said on your "Not A Fan of SmurfettexHefty or HandyxMarina Stamp" that I didn't think I supported any smurf with Smurfette as a couple? Well... I didn't mention it at the time simply because it didn't cross my mind at the time, but I would actually make an exception for Smurfette and Poet. I'm basing this mostly on the "Smurfette's Golden Tresses" episode (I don't really remember any others with them together), but I do think they make a genuinely sweet couple. Also, Poet doesn't seem to get much attention in the Smurfs fandom, which I think is a real shame. He's very likeable and one of my favourite characters. As well as being sensitive, he's also very sincere. Every time Poet shares a poem, I always believe that it's from the heart and he believes every word he writes and says. I agree with you that there does seem to be a special connection between him and Smurfette, and I think they go together really nicely.

I know, right? The same applies to Wooly and several other Smurfs. I mean, I'm the only one on DA who writes WoolyxOC romance, for crying out loud! But yeah, some of the other Smurfs definitely deserve more love than what they're currently getting. Poet's one of my secondary major favorite characters. I like him for the same reasons you do. Don't get me wrong, Hefty has his moments of being sweet and he does genuinely care about Smurfette, but he cares about her the same way that he cares about the other Smurfs. Exactly man, it feels good knowing that Sapphire9089 and I aren't the only ones who see the appeal of PoetxSmurfette.

It's funny 'cause I'm the complete opposite with those 2 pairings. I think the main reason I like Vanity/Smurfette is because everyone seems to think Vanity is gay and I know he isn't. Plus, I just think they're cute together. And most people pair Sassette up with Snappy or Nat, so I like to see her with Slouchy for a change. Also, he's my favorite smurfling. But that's totally fine if you don't ship them. Everyone's got their own opinion.

I do agree that Vanity isn't gay. I do, however, think he's more asexual and only expresses romantic interest in Smurfette because he only wants beautiful women hanging off of him if he's that willing to share himself with anyone else. Kind of like wanting a trophy wife, if you want to put it that way. I'm not saying that Vanity isn't capable of feeling genuine love or anything like that for someone other than himself since I do love VanityxPeriwinkle. I'm just saying that the reasoning for him to want someone other than himself has to be very believable to me. And I'm fine with you liking both VanityxSmurfette and SlouchyxSassette. Exactly.

I completely understand, Ocean.^_^ I prefer Smurfette with Poet too. When she's with Hefty, everything seems too stereotypical. Strong guy+pretty popular blonde=classic cheesy romance soap opera with a side of high school drama. Your wisdom speaks a thousand words. I completely agree.^_^
