Those pictures in your mind
Keep you locked up inside your past"

||| IRISPAW | Cousin
I met Irispaw one... a while ago. She's the Medicine cat's apprentice, which is cool, I guess..... She was nice.

|||| SCORPIONFANG | Father
.... I mean... It's not like I don't want to have a dad. I just... don't want to know him? Or.. well... that's a lie, I guess. I know somewhere inside, I do want him. But.... he left us, y'know? And then Mom died and... What am I supposed to do with that? With him....?

||| SPIDERPAW | Twin Brother
I... I guess it's not his fault that he left. We were both so little when it happened. But he's just so... so.... happy. And he seems to have all these... friends. And... A-And I don't know if I'd know.. what to do around him.... 'cos I'm not.. and I don't... How would we ever work together..?

|||| MOSSFIRE | Mother
She... she was my everything. She taught me everything I know, and about how to be kind, and brave... and now she's not here to do that anymore. It's... it's so not FAIR. She was so GOOD. And all she was trying to do was to protect everyone. But she had to die. She was the best person in the whole world... and yet SHE was the one who had to die. It's just... It's not....

ROLEPLAYTime-Zone: UTC-05:00 Eastern
Style: Depends on who I'm roleplaying with. I'll do anything from script-style to "novel-length" replies, depending on what the other person wants.
Direction: We can discuss potential plots or relationships development beforehand, just ask! Or we can just go at it and see what happens. I'm fine either way.
Skype: Open. This is my preferred "outside" method rping; easy for both chatting and playing B)
Comments: Open. This is my preferred on-site method c:
Notes: Basically closed. Seriously, if we start a note rp, it's likely that I'll end up never responding to it.
Facebook: Basically closed. I only really use FB/Messanger to rp with people I'm Facebook friends with. You can ask, but it's pretty unlikely.
Text: Closed. Definitely only use it for people I'm close to. Again, you can ask to exchange numbers, but the answer will most likely be no.
Other: Suggest it and we'll talk. I don't mind hearing about different ways to rp B)

TRIVIA    * It's always been hard to roleplay Fright, as I always saw her as an extension of Mossfire. Now, however, I think I've found a way to play her. Of course, this was found through basically destroying her life and her innocence... but hey, it worked.

    * She never viewed her mother's disability as a weakness and instead chose to see it as something that highlighted her strengths. Mossfire was her whole world, so it's appropriate to say that her world is now destroyed. For now. I hope. someone take this sad child away from me weeps

    * It's funny how Smile views his mother's death in a positive light, and always tries to be happy, but Fright views her mother's death as a tragedy, and doesn't even try to dig herself out of her depression. Two very different kinds of characters, I suppose. I wonder what would happen if they met.

    * My original concept for Fright? Someone who was kind, meek, and skittish. It was very similar to how Mossy was originally. But now she's a whole lot less sweet, and a whole lot less... social. I mean, she wasn't before, but she had Mossy to encourage her. But now it's just like.... wow. I never thought she'd be a cold character, but here she is.

    * She probably isn't too big in believing in Starclan, simply because of her mother's death. It's a very conflicted feeling, since now her mother would be up there too, but Fright can't seem to wrap her head around why they would let her die in the first place. Funny how that makes it seem more like she'd belong in Sunclan than Moonclan.

    * In the Human AU world, her name is Fae, and she's a petite, thin young girl. I'm not really sure who she lives with now, since she'd still be in school at this point. Her dad? I dunno. Probably. She also probably throws herself into her schoolwork with reckless abandon, letting it be her sole focus [since I don't know what her hobbies are], and then stays in her room all day afterwards. Gosh, she needs friends.

New Kits in the Nursery. Well this was a rather exciting turn of events.
Up until very recently Iriskit had been the youngest Moonclan Kit that she'd known of, but apparently there was another now, she'd been born near the end of the Journey just before they reached the Camp. Iriskit hadn't seen her yet, only heard about her, but she was keen to take a peek. However, she'd promised to help Cloudjumper out, and she felt bad abandoning the she-cat now, particularly when she seemed to forget so much without somebody there to remind her.

But Cloudjumper had gone to take a nap, leaving her with some free time.

Hopping cheerfully over to the Nursery, Iriskit pressed her nose to the ground, sticking her tail in the air, as she attempted to mimic the way the Apprentices looked when they were following a scent - although she had no idea what she was looking for, only that she was heading in a zig-zag motion towards Mossfire's nest.

Reaching the nest, Iriskit propped herself up and peered in. "Hello?"

What a strange world to be brought into. Everyone was so high-energy and talking about arriving at a new camp... but Frightkit had no idea what they were talking about. As far as she knew, this was the first and only camp she had ever been in; the only place she'd ever known. She had vague memories of being carried somewhere, of hearing a voice other than her mother's, and of seeing someone who looked near-identical to her. But they were all fuzzy, and what she remembered most clearly now was just being in this camp, alone, only with her mother.

Her mother... she was the most beautiful cat Frightkit had ever seen. Of course, she didn't think she'd seen many yet, but she firmly believed that this would always stay true. The curly-tailed kit always tried to stay close to her mom, since her mother couldn't move from their shared nest that much. Others said it was she was sick or wounded and recovering, but Frightkit paid no mind to the reason, only to her mom. The silver somali knew so many things, and she told Frightkit all sorts of stories about cat's she knew and had known, of places she'd been, and of the place Moonclan used to dwell in. This was how the dark she-kit has learned about her aunt, Kestrelflight, and the rest of that side of her family, although she hadn't seen anyone but her aunt and her other aunt, Timidbreeze, yet.

This led to where she was today, curled up against her mother's flank in their nest, dozing there while the older she-cat slept soundly. It was very peaceful... that was, until a suddenly and unexpected voice came from the edge of the nest. Frightkit flinched, jerking to a sitting position and looking in the direction of the voice with widened eyes. It was... another kit? Another kit, who looked an awful lot like her mother. The curly-tailed kit blinked, confused.

"A... Are you... my sibling?" She asked, he voice hushed as to not disturb her mom.

sparkeythehamster In reply to Leoleum [2015-11-12 17:48:25 +0000 UTC]

Inside the nest, next to her aunt's sleeping form was a tiny kitten - smaller than she was. They were a darker colour to herself, but there seemed to be touches of a similar family line there, one of the kit's ears was bent as if it had just flopped over for a nap, leaving the other to do all the work.
She wasn't really surprised by the Kit's question, she hadn't been expecting it, but she just found it rather funny. "No" she chuckled, "I'm not, but we are Kin, I wanted to come and see you, I've been super busy and haven't had a chance to yet."

She hopped carefully into the nest, making sure not to disturb Mossfire. She'd been to visit her aunt a few times over the last few days with Cloudjumper, and from that she'd gathered that the Queen was very sick, and that she needed to get lots of rest.
"My name is Iriskit" she introduced, "Your mum is my mum's sister, I haven't heard your name yet, what is it?"

Iriskit was adding quite a few names to her collection now. She enjoyed remembering the names of those she'd met and played with, her friends, she had lots of them now... even though most of them had gone to live with their own Clans now.

Leoleum In reply to sparkeythehamster [2015-11-12 18:03:06 +0000 UTC]

Fidgeting, Frightkit glanced up at the body of her mother, then back at the other kit. They really did look similar, but... she had said they weren't siblings? "Kin." She repeated, as if saying the word would help her to understood what it meant. Kin.. Kin... Wasn't that what her mom had called Aunt Kessie? It had meant... family. Yes, that was it. So this kit was her family, but not her sibling. How confusing.

She flinched again, much more lightly, as the kit carefully hopped into the nest. Flicking her flopped ear, Frightkit decided to scoot closer, though not too close, in case the distance would keep her from disturbing her mother less. Looking at her "kin" more closely now, it was evident that she definitely had the same silver pelt, and the the darker grey markings looked almost identical to her mother's black ones. Her white socks and belly were different, though, and mixed into the silver was what appeared to be a pale brown. Her eyes, though, were a bright yellow as opposed to her mom's dark green or her own ruddy brown.

"Iriskit... who's mom is my mom's sister?" She repeated. If she remembered correctly, Mossfire had called Aunt Kessy her sister... so this was Aunt Kessy's daughter? Of course, Frightkit blinked in realization, that would explain the colour of Iriskit's eyes. She shuffled her paws, looked down at them before looking back up at the silver kit's chest, blinking again. "Uhm... My name is Frightkit." She introduced.

sparkeythehamster In reply to Leoleum [2015-11-13 01:55:30 +0000 UTC]

A wide smile spreading over her face, Iriskit performed a couple of happy hops as she learned the other she-kit's name. Frightkit. Frightkit. Why was she called Frightkit?
"Do you get frightened easily?" She asked curiously, wondering where the inspiration for the name had come from. She was called Iriskit after her mother's favourite flowers, Foxkit was called Foxkit because he looked a bit like someone her mother had known with a name like that, then Redkit was Redkit because of her pale russet fur.

Still that was another name. Foxkit, Redkit, Lionkit, Stormkit, Bonekit, Peacekit, Timberkit, Flickerkit, Pecankit, Hushedkit and Frightkit.
"Are you still too small to leave the nest?" She asked curiously, remembering how close her parents had kept her and her littermates when they were still newborns, she imagined in a Camp-like situation the equivalent to being carried, was staying in the nest.

It still felt a little weird being told she had to stay in the Camp. Why couldn't she go outside and explore like the Apprentices? She'd walked all the way into the Camp, through the Territory, so why couldn't she leave again?
The repetitiveness of each day was driving her crazy, fighting to keep herself interested and occupied was fast becoming a losing battle, but hopefully some interaction with Frightkit might help.

Did she get frightened easily? The curly-tailed kit shuffled her paws a little, returning Iriskit's broad grin with a small, nervous smile of her own. What had her mom told her about her name? "I think my mom said... it's because I get, uhm.... 'star-tulled' easily." It was something like that, right? Probably. She had never really put much thought into why her name was what it was before. She had always just been herself... Frightkit.

"I, uhm.." Frightkit glanced back at her mother once more, who was still sleeping soundly. There were white, sticky things covering her lower half, which she had told the dark kit were called cobwebs, but Frightkit didn't exactly understand why they were there. Maybe it was just stuff for grown-ups.
".... I like staying with my mom." She said quietly, her open ear flicking back. "She can't really go anywhere right now. Or, that's what she told me. And I don't know anyone else, so... I just stay here. She's never really told me to, I just do."

And, in truth, she didn't really mind staying in or close to the nest. It wasn't as if she knew anything else, since she didn't remember the mountain she had been born on, and the only fresh memories she had of the territory was what she had recently seen being carried to the camp. Even then, though, she had slept a lot of the way. That was just something young kits did apparently.

Iriskit listened and nodded along, "But you'll come and explore eventually right?"
Personally she couldn't remember if there had ever been a time when she hadn't wanted to leave her mother's side, of course she loved her mother and loved curling up beside her at night, but Iriskit for as long as she could remember had been wandering off as well, looking for adventure or friends in some form or another.
While Frightkit seemed to be quite happy where she was now, that hopefully didn't mean she intended to stay there forever, maybe when her mother was feeling better she'd come out and play.

"When you do want to come out though, I can introduce you to my brother and sister if you'd like, I have lots of friends, but most of them are in other Clans now..." she trailed off sadly for a moment before springing back, "but I'm sure I'll make lots of Moonclan friends too, so we can be friends as well as Kin if you like?"

[ ahhh sorry I'm so late ; 7 ; I feel like I kind of dipped out of life for a while there haha ]

"Uh-uhm..." Frightkit's eyes darted to the side, tail twitching anxiously. Would there ever be a time that she would really want to leave her mother's side? She had never really thought about it before. Of course, she supposed she would have to at some point. Everyone got older and became an apprentice one day. Then she would be put into someone else's care, though "care" in that sense was more like supervision in training and such. Who would that be, though? Just some stranger?

"I-I suppose I will... eventually." She agreed. If she went out and met other clan members, then not as many cats would feel like strangers to her. Then, maybe, she would get a mentor who didn't feel like a stranger. That would be nice. Her ears, both of them, perked up a little when Iriskit mentioned making friends. The smaller kit nodded in response.
"Y-yeah... I don't really know anyone, so.... I suppose it would be easier to go out if I had someone to go with." She smiled a little. "I... sure, we can be friends. I mean, if we're family, doesn't that mean we kind of have to be?"

That's fine with me.

Flickerkit was exhausted and her paw still ached. It had been two days since the end of The Journey through the mountains, and to be frank, the dark she-kit had barely managed it. Of course, she was carried some of the time, Sootstain alternating between carrying her and her brother, Bravekit. But it was still a difficult trek on one so young as she. Upon seeing the change in territory from the dusty cold mountains to the fresh forest with deep undergrowth, Flickerkit's energy had been renewed. And here they were — home! The new MoonClan camp.

The ebony she-kit padded forward eagerly, following the careful pawsteps of the patrol that first found this place. Flickerkit found herself swallowed in cool darkness, though shafts of golden sunlight drifted down from the roof of the cavern and bathed the mossy ground in warmth. "We made it," she said softly to herself, a small smile upturning her jaws. We made it!

Leoleum In reply to Nightyblaze [2015-11-12 17:53:51 +0000 UTC]

Everything that was going on seemed very confusing. Memories of the trek down the mountain, as she'd heard that's what they had done, were fuzzy at best. Now, though, they were in this weird dark place that everyone was calling their - what? Their camp? Frightkit frowned; her mother had explained to her earlier that day that a "camp" was the place that a clan lived in. So then... this is where Moonclan was going to live.

Still being a fairly newborn kit, Frightkit had been carried the vast majority of the rest of the clans' Journey. Not by her mother, though, who had to be carried by someone else, but by various other queens in the clan. She had been put down once reaching the cavern, though, and was now just sort of... standing. What was she supposed to do? Her mom had been taken somewhere else, so it would probably be good to find her. But.. oh, where did she go? The young kit quaked ever so slightly; everything was new and confusing and nobody was telling her anything! Where was her mom? Where had they taken her? This was no good, no good at all. The curly-tailed kit swallowed and waddled forward slowly, shying away from the big paws of the older cats and doing her best not to trip over the tangles of grass underfoot.

Oh, why was this happening now?

Flickerkit found herself looking this way and that. This place – MoonClan's new camp – was different from DawnClan's camp, her home, in the old territories before the fire. The dark she-kit blinked her multi-colored eyes, feeling a bit overwhelmed. Fallenstar was organizing patrols to go out in search for moss to make nests with. It didn't appear that they would be making shelters, as the camp itself was enclosed by towering stone surface, though some cats claimed the few alcoves and small depressions in the sheer walls. This would take time to get used to – the perpetual shade. And what about nighttime? Surely the openings in the roof of the cavern weren't large enough for the starlight to shine through.

Flickerkit shivered a little. She was suddenly nudged by a cold nose and gazed over her shoulder to find blue eyes blinking slowly at her. "Sootstain?" she mewed, though her voice lightened an octave in question. The soot-gray tom gave her a smile, and Bravekit, a gray-and-white tom with darker charcoal-dust like markings along his spine, grinned at her as well.

"We're making a nest over there," Sootstain meowed, nodding toward a depression in the cliff-like wall. "Want to help us make the nest? We'll need some dry moss."

"Can I look around first?"

The MoonClan warrior hesitated before nodding kindly. "Sure. Just be careful. There may be a few surprises in store – I wouldn't want you to fall in a pool of water or fall down a hole."

"I will, don't worry," Flickerkit purred before turning back around. There was just so much to see! Already, cats were milling about, dragging moss and moving rocks and branches. The dark she-kit turned around again, coming nose-to-nose with a dark gray and black she-kit, the fur along her spine prickling before she managed to push it flat with a few quick tongue-strokes. "Uh, hi," Flickerkit mewed. "I'm Flickerkit. Who're you?"

The harder she tried to look over the heads of cats much taller than her, the more frantic Frightkit became. Not that she would ever be able to see anything with everyone in the way. Oh, why had they gone and just left her all alone? They could have at least left her with her mother. Or close to where she was supposed to be. Or- the curly-tailed kit let out a quiet shriek, coming face-to-face with another kit so quickly that she hadn't even saw it happening. She flinched and stepped backwards, whimpering softly out of fright. This was too much and too confusing all at once.

The kit she had nearly walked into seemed to be talking to her, though, grooming her fur down and casually introducing herself as if nothing had happened. Frightkit blinked, her ruddy-brown eyes expressive with confusion and fear and her straightened ear folded back. "Wh-" She started, stopping almost immediately to swallow down a lump in her throat. "I-I-I'm F-Frightkit." She responded, her voice quiet and shaking as she continued to work on trying to calm down.

Her heart fluttered as the dark she-cat flattened her ears ever so slightly. She was quite a jumpy kit. Flickerkit gave her a sympathetic smile. She herself wasn't that great with social interactions, so finding a kindred spirit helped her relax. "Nice to meet you, Frightkit," the ebony she-kit purred, relaxing her muscles and lowering herself discreetly as to not appear so imposing. She was, after all, probably a few moons older than this she-kit.

"Here, we can go over there." Flickerkit motioned with a quirk of her nose over her shoulder. It was quieter over there, less of a fuss. "If you want, I can tell you a trick I've learned," she added as she started to wander in the same general direction she originally gestured towards. "Sometimes I find counting my breaths help. You know, you breath in for three or four seconds then breath out for three or four seconds. It doesn't always help, though." She gave Frightkit another small smile as she settled down next to a sun-sprayed flat stone.
