First, of all this is an out standing piece.
Second, adding more detail to the hair would make it so much more outstanding.
Third, the title caught my attention the most when browsing my messages. (:
Lovely.

It's really good, I like it a lot.
If I was to give potitive crit, I could say you could've worked on other areas to give it more of a finished look. Like the hair and a few stronger shadows.
I do think it's great though. A lot of drawings can take up to 100 hours worth of work, depending on size of course.
I guess it really depends on what you want. I tend to like work that I feel is technically strong and not always if the subject is appealing. I find so many pictures on DA which is technically okay but the subject is always some gorgeous movie star, with professional photography by some top photographer, and it always generates more attention than pieces which are technically incredible but the model is just a regular person. I tend to veer away from fan art all together in search for artists who use their own sources etc. I feel when someone uses their own sources they put in more attention to poses lighting, detail etc.

you're right, i didn't give it the best finish
i'm still a little careful with the darker tones, i think it's because i never did go to an art school, so i'm still searching for my own style.
i actually feel the same way about fan art, and everything related to it. I'ts not always the best work, and pretty much overrated.
This is a drawing of my friend, the photo is done by her.

well, i guess you should go to an art school, since your lucky enough to live in London and have a lot of good ones to choose from.
+ you've got talent, and developing it would be wise.
i have some friends that finished art school and can't even draw a simple flower, it's pretty pathetic.
