Thought I’d try out THIS MEME by of the Top 10 Under - Appreciated Characters. I decided to narrow my options down, personally by not including any villains, but who knows, maybe I’ll fill more of these out someday.

10. Paul the alien from Paul:

Easily one of my favourite movies. While Paul may not be one of the deepest characters on my list, he is one that is just fun to have and be around. He’s funny, intelligent, honest and you can count on him to tell the honest (if sometimes blunt) truth and not blow smoke up your arse. Sure he is a crude, stoner alien that swears like a bastard. But he’s very easy to love and appreciate for his bravery, approachability, humour, generosity and willingness to put his life on the line for his friends. On top of that, the special effect for him is just incredible! You should defiantly give this movie a watch!

9. Ichabod Crane from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow:

I am very fascinated with this character and I’m mainly going by the original book version. However I the picture I chose was froth version from TWAU, since honestly even though it dosnt follow the storyline of the book, its still such n accurate interoperation of him and easily my favourite. I think with so many watered down adaptations like the Johnny Depp or the Fox versions, people forget what kind of character Ichabod really was. He wasn't this timid nerd and certainly not a handsome soldier. He was a pathetic, greedy sod who was incredibly superstitious and scared of his own shadow. Hell, even the Disney version got that right! But he is just very complex, mysterious and interesting, but the whole short story is full stop. Especially when it comes to his relationships with others.

I was gonna put Batwoman on this spot. You all know that she is my favourite superhero and I almost don't need to say any more about her. I suppose I took her off because at least I know I wasn't the only one who was outraged at what DC did to her. (Yes I am still bitter about that). She defiantly deserves to be as celebrated as much as her male counterpart.

8. Yen Sid from the Walt Disney Universe:

Now this guy I already tackled about why I love him in my School Teachers Meme, but I still wanted to place him here. He deserves to be more of a Disney Icon than he already is. But then again the fact that he is kinda scary may prove why he isn't.

7. Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog:

My favourite Disney Princess hands down. But neither Disney nor the fans give her enough credit for what a fantastic character she is for a Disney princess, especially with what she had to go through. Honestly I could just go on forever with this. But all I can say is I love and relate to her so much, and she deserves to be in the spotlight more.

6. Grendel and Holly from The Wolf Among Us:

One thing that disappoints me about the Fables comic series that this game follows.. is that these two are not in it. Seriously at first I hated these two in episode 1 cos they were arseholes to me, but I just fell in love with them after episode 2, what they had to go through was heartbreaking and I could see a very strong friendship with them. Not to mention just how everything grows as the story progresses. What they thought about me really mattered to me because I cared for them so much and wanted to make things right for them.

5. Fancy Pants from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic:

Best Stallion!! He's easily one of the most sophisticated characters inn the show, and I don't just mean in his social position. He's incredible self-aware of his influence in a high society and knows that other ponies hang on his every word. So its good to se that he uses that power for good. When Rarity and her friends are being chastised for being lower class, he is the one who stands up and celebrates them, putting his reputation on the line. Not to mention even though he is aware he is surrounded by such arseholes, he still displays a kind heart to everyone. I REALLY wish he wasn't just in that one episode!! I Need more Fancypants! Better yet, I need more Fancypants and Rarity together!

4. Nerissa from The Wolf Among Us:

Oh. My. God. Where do I start with Nerissa?! Formally known as The Little Mermaid. This AMAZING Girl! I won't give away spoilers for those who aren't far enough in the game to truly get her. But this poor girl risked so much to gel Bigby despite not being able to talk about what was happening. The way she struggled so much to express her true feeling, the pain she went through, the loneliness out of losing her friends. THIS is a STRONG GIRL!! I could write a whole essay on Nerissa! Her Disney counterpart, Ariel, can kiss her arse!

3. Mr. Briggs from Our Day Out:

Another one I talked about in my School Teachers Meme. But still I cant blame you if you have never heard of him. But as you can read there, he certainly made a profound impact on me. Even after all this time I still find him fascinating. He’s a school teacher who does care about the individual needs of his students and saved a little girl from jumping from a cliff to her death when she was having an existential crisis about her future! This man is amazing! So many of us would be better off if we had more teachers like him!

2. Mike Stamford from Sherlock:

He is the one who introduces John to Sherlock and he gives THAT smile cos he knows what a perfect thing he has done! I just… I cant even… HE IS THE REASON EVERYTHING IN SHERLOCK EVEN HAPPENED!!! WHY IS HE NOT GIVEN MORE CREDIT FOR THAT?! You can imagine how disappointed I was when we didn't see him at John and Mary’s wedding! WHY wasn't he at the wedding?! Moffat, Gattis.. he better be in series 4!

1. Mr. Rzykruski from Frankenweenie:

What more can I honestly say about this amazing guy? Once again another character I talked about in the school teachers meme. But this is seriously an amazing guy! He stood up for truth, speaking against ignorance, being a caring teacher... and he loses so much because of it, and it'd NEVER put right! He got screwed over for being basically a hero! He NEEDS MORE LOVE!!!
