Description In Ancient Egyptian mythology, Nephthys is the goddess of air, death, mourning, and Lower Egypt. In some myths, she is assumed to be the mother of Anubis, but others describe her as barren. As part of the Ennead, her mythology was not consistent throughout time, but she was always a main deity. Because of her role as a goddess of the air, she could transform into a bird.

The horizontal hieroglyphics I used come from the papyrus of Ani (translated onΒ eridanus.cz ), and they describe Isis and Nephthys adoring Osiris. The vertical hieroglyphics come from the papyrus of Hunefer and tell of Nephthys' relationship with her brother, Osiris
