Description
Here we have a cherub that I modeled using two trains of thought; the biblically accurate depiction and depictions in western/ European Christian art. The biblically accurate description is they have four faces, a human, lion, ox, and eagle with the feet of a calf that are colored like burnished bronze. Whilst the Western /European depiction in Christian art are those of winged babies or children, which are actually based off of the creatures known as putto which are associated with the Roman/Greek god of love Cupid/ Eros. This depiction combines those two trains of thought a child like entity with the features of the biblical story cherub i.e. Ox horns, lion's mane, four eagle wings, bronze colored calf hoofs and humanoid face and upper torso.
