I don't praise your work because I want to inflate your ego, I do so because I a) like it and b) envy your talent. The very few people I do over effusively praise are because I like them for constantly favoring my 'art' or because I feel sorry for them and wish to encourage their efforts. Feel sorry for is not right, feel like they can do better is more like it. Incidentally, I try not to over fave because if I praise everything someone creates then I praise nothing. Saw my first live fox today, it ran across an empty lot on the corner and trotted down the street. It was more of a tan color and at first I could not figure out what it was. What a rush! This may be the one that lives behind my sister's house and got on her second story porch and would not leave last week.
Mom has had a stroke and is in a Corpus hospital. My dad is all but paralyzed and we have just put him into bed. He has almost no brain function left, getting him to eat today was hopeless. I have never felt so trapped before in my entire life. I may be a bit distracted in the next few days. I'm telling you just to talk, I have no need for sympathy, and it is not about me at all. I have always run from problems and I can't do that in this case. Most frustrating.
