Thanks for looking through my uneven museum

I'll continue as I get time.

Pray tell the Bette Midler reference...didn't see that movie ( yet)

Oh, I'm referencing the film's tagline "She gave and she gave until she had nothing left to give"

Poor Bette.she could recycle her plastic parts into some wonderful....park bench. Keep on giving. Β Er, what is that ? I like it but no. No, it doesn't remotely fit the bench scenario.

Maybe that fellow sat on the bench and then afterwards
found out what it was

try to have a small shovel in the car- for snow in winter, and to move bigger snapping turtles off the road in summer.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

weaveandrust In reply to leothefox [2014-03-08 02:39:52 +0000 UTC]

they sun themselves on the warm tarmac, or lumber way too slowly across....people are nimrods and don't even see them......a turtle ( you probably know this) doesn't die quickly when hit by a car. It's awful. So I move em when I can.

But I don't go to parties precisely because of turtle attacks, a social nightmare.

Eeeep poor things. Sounds like that could get messy.
I nearly cry when I see a raccoon or possum that's
been hit by a car.

even enjoy some whiskey They are smart critters ^^

Since we began talking about them, I keep getting a mental image of those remarkable hands washing something the way they do. Sort of a plainspoken practicality Β about it,and they could hold a whiskey glass....Like you speculated.
