Thank you for your comment! Yes, it's the texture of the paper that gives it that look. I used cold pressed Bristol paper for this commission as I thought it would give a nice touch. The pose stemmed from the fact that they're supposed to be a romantic married couple. I really loved working that element out in my head first.

Beautiful image! You did a very nice job blending the colored pencil and making it look so nice and smooth. Love the little addition of the gold knotted ring in the background... Makes for a nice design. And the lillies are a nice touch too! Very pretty piece... I'm sure Curran is quite happy with it.
