Time to upload some old stuff here.
So I participated in Pokemon xy countdown on tumblr and I was assigned to the last day (was very very surprised by that). Click here for the post on tumblr.
Partially satisfied with how this turned out. You can actually see how I got bored and in a hurry with clouds but eeh I was finishing this last minute. You don't even want to know how many ideas I changed for my entry (and I have most of them all sketched out and ready for lineart. Talking about a way to waste your precious time OTL ).
Everything else is self explanatory.

huuuuhh, but glad you liked it. Now I know that I completely missed the atmosphere of that town and that those stairs actually don't exist and that bar was a bar for roller skating but hahaha, it was fun interpreting from the 2 sec clip in a trailer. x3

Any particular reason? No, not really. I just needed two Pokemon who are small enough (since I had in mind where I want to put Pokemon) and really these two first came to my mind as options.

Aaaah I can hardly pinpoint at just one Pokemon. I'm using really a lot of Pokemon, both old and new so I didn't try all of them. But both fossils are even better than I expected (and I had high expectations from them) and Honedge is super awesome as well. Aaaah and Skrelp~, oh god that thing kicks ass and is super adorable above all! I'm a bit dissapointed with Fennekin move pool though. I have a Braxien at level 33 or something and its strongest fire type attack is still ember! 0.o (I don't use flame charge because it's physical attack and my Braxien has some poor attack stats) It annoys to battle like that.

Well, I don't know. Maybe it was just me! XD Cause I didn't take part in spoilers or trailers much for the game so seeing that windmill again was quite nostalgic!

This is fantastic! Like goodness this needs to be a poster like now XD
I only got 3 nit picks
1. Like what Penguin said you probabaly should have had the Spritzee more to the top right corner. Not only does it make it less cluttered and fills the empty space. It also gives the girl something to look at rather than looking off in the distance.
2. The girls face is a little weird. It just doesn't look like a real face. It just looks plasterd on there. This is probably due to her having that one curved line and that the side of her head is a little to flat.
3. That Helioptile should not be on that rail! Who does that guy think he is?! Rails are ONLY for Skating!!! And he does not look like a skating master!!!

Yeah, I see what you mean and now that you guys pointed it out it really stings eye so I'll probably end up fixing that. x) The girl will still look off in the distance since Spritzee is positioned behind her so she couldn't look at its direction even if I wanted it to.
But I kind of can't see what you mean under number 2. That one curved line is a jaw line and without it the face looks really really weird. I even tried to look at my head at this position and can't actually see what's THAT much off. (Okay, I see some other things which are off with the anatomy but I don't care that much to fix it now, but not actually what you're pinpointing.
Hahaha, I imagined that bar more like a stairway handle (since it looked more like it in the trailer I used as a reference) x)
And I don't know what you're talking about. Helioptiles are widely known as pro skaters.

When I was drawing this Frescora wasn't even known as a city, I had only trailers for a reference. I saw that there were some windmills, thought it would make a nice scene and drew it (I had no idea where will they be put so I couldn't predict the enviroment Cx ).
I adoreeeee new games! There is so much to do and I'm playing really really slow. I want to explore everything and train as much Pokemon I can (I have 38 hours of playing and I just entered that cave when you meet Team Flare for the first time). I'm enjoying too much in it. C:

THE POWER OF PERSPECTIVE oh, the perspective on that windmill turned out wonderful, and love the reflective nature on the windmill blades. the highlights on the fence work well, and like how the bush got shaded. looks like you almost intended to make this a panty shot with how you have the perspective below the skirt, but I know you wouldn't do that and glad you didn't XD. think you might have wanted to put the spritzee a bit higher up in the right corner so that corner isn't as empty and the details aren't as cramped together, but just composition nitpick. love the expressions and how happy the atmosphere is too

heh, that's good to hear, and it's just what I thought when I saw the perspective angle, since that's usually what this angle is used for when there's a skirt in the art.
