Then you may want to avoid the current one in the "Batman & Robin" comicbook series. His personality makes sandpaper seem like velvet.

Can't remember specifics as I skimmed the book in the local comic book store. I do remember that the current Batman(Dick Grayson) had to keep him from killing some low-level criminal and Robin(Damien) saying that he could take on and do a superior job as the Batman.

Yes. Apparently Batman is dead. There was even a body in one of the crossover series. I don't have any details. I just know what I read in Comic Book Resources.
