sooooo i said i wanted to draw a actual picture for the design i made for the contest so i did >v>; im not 100% proud of it but i mean i guess its okkkkkk?also i wanted to write her saying something but i didnt know if i was going to fit her rightttttt :,U so we just got her like this
i wanted to give her a garden to show how she can use her powers so BAM yup thats why i drew all thats stuff ;v;
okok but i really need to stop side tracking myself now >:U back to work
this picture is to go along with my entry for 's contest that i did yesterday.....although this was unnecessary but i like drawing actual pictures to go with stuff i just create im so sorry ;u;

hhhn i really love this piece of artwork! the background looks so lively as a garden( better than what i can do) QvQ. since i want to critique this, a tip that i would give you is shading. for me personally, when adding shade kinda change the hue a bit when painting! like the brown fur, add like a slight purplish brown tone to it. i'm horrible at explaining things but tutorials help with that also!
you already do such a fine job with it so ya don't have to listen to me sweetie~

ah thank you so much for the advice! ;o; <3 izzzzzzz I've actually heard people talk about that before! It kinda adds more life and makes it less muddy and dull and I've tried to do that more often with my art, but with this picture I actually color selected off the ref sheet and it was just darker colors which was my mistake. ;u; (also i think picking colors to fit in the pictures surroundings was another one I've heard of)
I have to remember this o: and that's probably why I wasn't happy with this because the shading was off (i mean other then my blending X,D that also wasn't great this time around)

I use to do that all the time but there is always room for improvement!

AH QvQ coming from a person that is just like magical with that kind of thing it's really good to hear that my environment work is getting somewhere! although i got my ways to go lol
and uhhh i'm not close to the entries that already came through like there amazingggggggggggggg plus ive never won a contest so im not planning on doing good at all XD but i dont care about winning just being apart of it is cool! >:3

It IS getting somewhere- One of my favourite things about this piece looking back at it has to be the blur effect over the background!
-v- Your work deserves at least something, =n= Your a winner in my eyes then- regardless of the results. 
I just wish I was around more previously, I lost touch a lot with DA, to see your progress however is inspiring Lesh, its just wonderful. Never quit- ever ever T-T Your making leaps and bounds!

im just feeling great now X,D yeah the blur stuff was just something i did because i think i heard something about blurring can uh i forgot alread,y XD but i only use references for skies mostly im just not good at replicating it lol especially in this picture because i usally like pictures with sunsets and night skies but i wanted to try something different and it was a STRUGGLEEEE. OH man i cant even explain how i felt lolol X,3 but i should start using references for more stuff and actually take my time because it would probably better then it is now
