I was on the set of Transformers 3 in Washington DC on Oct. 12, 2010. I got a ton of photos!Bumblebee had an accident on Oct. 11th, but I was there on the 12th when they brought in two more! No worries, folks, Bumblebee is alive and well and seems to have many clones
They resumed filming with his character on the 12th.Enjoy!

On Oct 11, 2010 during the filming in DC, a police SUV was answering a call and drove through one of the streets that was closed for filming...Bumblebee ran right into him and was totaled, but they had spares (I was there when they brought the spare Bumblebees in, hence the picture you're commenting on).

I like how in the video you can see Ratchet turning around and facing the wrecked Bumblebee.

He must. I hope they change his transformation to match his new body style. I know they didn't in Revenge of the Fallen adn that was a big drawback for me.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. I guess that's what they were hoping for: that no one would notice. Now I'm going to be looking out for it. It would be good for them to make sure his transformation matches each time...

I thought it was a 2010, but the front one looks a little different to the 2010, so maybe its a 2011?

You know, it would make more sense if it were a 2011, since the movie is coming out in 2011. They'd want people to go buy the new 2011 Camaro (the movie being an enormous commercial for it

Apparently they didn't use any particular year model. They used a concept generation 5 camaro in the first film and modified it for the second film, then modified it again for the third film. They started selling the generation 5 camaro in 2009. I'm certainly not an authority on what model(s) they used, though
