Glad to hear you're OK, Linda. Look forward to seeing more work from you. Things are OK here, been lots of pplaces, done lots of things. Gearing up for another trip to South Africa for more game viewing in a couple of months.

Sounds lovely David, would like to go myself one day, we went to Costa Rica last year which was incredible, humidity isnt my favorite thing though so might try somewhere a bit drier this year.

Costa Rica was quite an adventure when we went there a few years ago. Would be worth doing it again.

Yes a very beautiful country with some amazing wildlife, unfortunately we got caught in hurricane Nate and had no power in the hotel for half of our holiday and couldnt leave the grounds of the hotel the entire time as bridges and roads had been wiped out but the small part we saw when the sun came out was breath taking.

Only managed a few posts from my holiday there, Linda. Just at the start of the digital era - Fuji FinePix S802. Here's a sample:

Lovely David, where abouts did you stay, we were in guanacaste, i mainly took pics of the animals and we only got to see one sunset and i didnt have my 'real' camera with me but i had my Nikon p900 that i use for zoom, it didnt do a bad job. I was going to add it to this comment but cant see how to, ill upload one a bit later, it was an amazing sunset absolutely everything was bathed in bright orange light.

Started in San Jose then went to a cloud forest (Montverde, I think) Arenal and Irazu volcanos, Manual Antonio, and a farm somewhere which was dead brill with horse riding and ospreys. Lots of coffee, beans and rice, but dreadful roads! Don't think we went to the Guancaste region. Yes, the light was generally fantastic except in the cloud forest where it just rained.

Ah yes Monteverde and Arenal was where we were hoping to go but never made it, i was sort of relived as those bridges looked scay lol.

The bridges in the cloud forest were OK, but the whole place was wet, not unexpectedly! Arenal was very interesting as we saw lava flows at night, but we got absolutely soaked to the skin on a walk one afternoon.

Wow lava at night sounds like a fantasti sight, we are considering going back again but the humidity didnt agree with my camera too much so not sure.  Would quite like to hug a sloth though lol

You could only see the glow at night because during the day normal daylight was too bright. Would have been interesting to do some long exposure work, but those were early days for digital.
