Description
This is Calvin. He was leaving the Calgary Greyhound depot as I was arriving. I took a shot of him looking over his shoulder as he was walking away, so he turned and said "If you're gonna take my picture, you may as well do it right." Good thing, too, because my focus was off on the first one.Nikon F3, 50mm f/1.4, Fujipro 400N. Slight tweaking in Lightroom.

I just moved to Edmonton, actually. "Beautiful" is not the first word that comes to mind when I think of Calgary. Vibrant, sure, but it's a festering slag heap right now. The downtown core is more construction site than it is functional city centre, and the local developers can't seem to see far enough ahead to appreciate that Calgary won't be obscenely rich forever. That said, I still love the place.

Yes. Calgary's better set up to deal with them than Edmonton is, though. It's got a pretty great shelter and a couple different organisations working for the people on the street.

There are so many festivals and things in Edmonton right now, I tell you what. It's great for sketching and spontaneous portraits and the like.
