I like the forehead, how the stroke is looking like dry sponge with white acrylic over textured surface (canvas). It somehow has a "layered coats of paint" feeling.

Yes, this is charcoal on rough paper But it could be also acrylic or oil on canvas. Anyway it looks traditionally.
