Description enjoy doing these type of paintings more, as with other works, done in PS

i have to admit i so much more enjoy doing these then the overly polished work. The traditional-digital approach has a nicer impact on the storytelling and overall mood. The crisp realism has a tendency to steal away attention from the story , and in this way the story is kept.

Pieces like this do have some serious detail but at the same time look loose. Always baffled me.

Must be hard to really know where to stop on these

Nice work!

Beautiful and dreamy in eery way, love the sense of mystery in the general lack of detail, particularly regrading the overexposed background, imparts a sens of intrigue which super detail simply cannot, absolutoly adore it

Nice atmosphere, I like this. Yeah, the overly polished work can focus too much on detail and too little on mood and story.

I'm still impressed that you can finish a painting. That part is torturous to me.

Beautifully done. the atmosphere is just terrific. To me it looks more like a cave hehe. I really like the buttery feel of your brushwork, combined with the nice canvasy texture, not to mention your lighting and color choices. Keep 'em coming, sir.

Judging by his latest livestreams I don't think he has added too many new brushes to his set, as far as I can tell. It mostly appears to be a few variations on the same brush. The canvas texture probably comes from this brush (which is just awesome, btw): [link]

You can find his current brush set here: [link] . Hope that helps!
