An entry by into my recent contest, and also the winner, I was a little thrown by Lara's shoulders beign so broad... but since he did adapt her from being a different character, and a male one from the inital draft, I can't complain, given how thoroughly he changed the rest, and it does make a certain kind of sense that Lara would be larger than Maria...

Now this as Matt rather insightfully captured is the victory ball, a rather self-congratulatory function the military throws every year to mark the day they won the civil way against the outlying planets in hte Sol system, anyone who served in the military at that time is welcome to attend, though it is a formal affair so certain standards of decorum are held to, even in rest the military keeps things neat after all... they are also premitted to bring one additional guest with them, and let me tell you, Maria caused quite a stir when she brought Lara along, Lara's discharge from the military due to her becoming an synthetic sentient entity (though obviously not of her will) came from a tricky time the brass would preffer to forget, but since she was technically still a veteran and for that matter Maria's +1 they could do nothing about it.

And so the pair did dance the night away, the fact that Lara was the one that persuaded Maria to go, and to wear that dress known only to the two of them...
