Toru Nakayama - pretty much my ultimate art hero & the guy I wish I was... I cherish my Megaman art book *_* Shunya Yamashita - haven't been a fan for long but it's easy to see why I love his art... his ladies are deadly & sexy Masamune Shirow - I don't think much needs to be explained here.. Ghost in the Shell Bust a groove - you might be surprised to know how much I listen to the music from these games; dancing is a big part of my life, & I totally blame it on Bust A Groove! I'm not sure that the game visually affected me, maybe just Kitty-N, but considering how much BaG I hear while drawing/coloring I'd say it definitely does something... BaG pic [link] Ayumi Hamasaki - for the same reason as above; I listen to Ayumi daily & most often while doing art. I also love Ayumi's fashion sense & there's even a Japanese girl style who's creation is attributed to her - "ageha!" So awesome *_* Then there's Ayumi herself.. she wanted to be a model before a singer but was unable to get work due to her size, but the joke's on everyone now because Ayumi is a highly-respected model, & for good reason! She's the most beautiful girl in the world! Her expressions & facial features are always in my mind when I draw my girls n_n Bladecham - He gets a big square too because I looooove his mechs & girls.... I know he's a huge pervert but.. so am I n_n; so I love Bladecham!!!!!! Moe!!! Hyung Tae Kim - I have a lot of respect for this guy's work & am glad it gets so much recognition... his costume designs are awesome & there's always plenty of fanservice >3 Jet Set Radio - I'll admit I never played it myself but I watched people play it... I really love the game's visual aesthetic, from the world to the characters George Kamitana - The newcomer to my list. I love all Vanillaware art.. it's so serene & colorful but full of dark undertones! Audrey Kawasaki - she is the Queen of the "sex face" Yoshiyuki Sadamoto - One of my oldest influences starting with Evangelion of course! I love his anatomy & of course plug suits & evas *_________* Range Murata - If I had room for another big square he would get it. I love his psuedo-steam-punk-sci-fi & am a huge fan of both Blue Sub 6 & Last Exile. I love LOVE the ways he draws girls in suits!!!!! Akihiko Yoshida - When it comes to Final Fantasy, his art has always been my favorite ever since FFTactics. His designs, adorable characters, palette choices & especially his level of detail are stunning. Chiho Aoshima - A vector artist with awesome talent.. she draws the trippiest things! I love her color palettes & her adorable girls, & to top it off she does everything with vector which amazes me! Junko Mizuno - I consider her the princess of twisted shit! There's something satirical about all her work that totally touches my heart!! Her blend of dark & cute is unmatched. Ryan Kinnaird - The only person on this list that I've ever talked to, because he has a DA account. Growing up I collected nearly a decades-worth of video game magazines, starting with Gamefan, Nintendo Power, EGM, EGM2, & finally ending with PSM which was my favorite; I collected 4 or 5 years worth of PSM mags & for most of those issues Ryan Kinnaird's work was usually present. He always drew funny little comics about FF7 or FF8 or Resident Evil [etc] that made me giggle so much! But I really liked the way he drew & colored his girls, so his was the first drawing style I ever attempted to mimic. He is awesome, so you should go to his gallery!
