Papierowy model samochodu FSO Polonez 1.5 SLE '91 (tzw. przejściówki) w skali 1:26.Wykonany całkowicie własnoręcznie (żadnych "gotowców" ani nawet drukowania).
Jest to mój pierwszy papierowy model samochodu od ok. 10 lat, jednocześnie pierwszy tak szczegółowy.
Czas pracy: kilkadziesiąt godzin.
Użyte materiały: sztywny papier z bloku technicznego, karton, dwie wykałaczki (jako osie), klej Butapren.
Użyte narzędzia: ołówki automatyczne HB 0,5 oraz 1,8mm, ołówek tradycyjny 6B, linijka, gumka do mazania, cyrkiel, cienkopis, CD marker, kolorowe pisaki (żółty, pomarańczowy, czerwony), nożyczki, nóż do papieru/tapet, pinceta, papier ścierny, wykałaczka (do nakładania kleju).
Ma kilka wad, ale generalnie jestem z niego bardzo zadowolony.

Paper model of a Polish car FSO Polonez 1.5 SLE '91, scale 1:26.
Fully hand-made (no templates and even no printing).
It's my first papercraft model for about 10 years and my first such detailed at the same time.
Time: several dozen of hours.
Used materials: stiff paper, cardboard, two toothpicks (for axles), Butapren glue.
Used tools: HB 0,5 and 1,8mm mechanical pencils, 6B traditional pencil, ruler, eraser, compass, fine felt-tip pen, CD marker, colour felt-tip pens (yellow, orange, red), scissors, paper knife, tweezers, abrasive paper, toothpick (for applying the glue).
It has some defects, but generally I'm very pleased with it.

Thank you! Mirrors are quite simple, three layers of paper glued together, so they are thick.

How did you attach the wheels to the axle and the axle to the chassis?

Chassis is made of cardboard, I made two holes in wheel alcoves and threaded a toothpick with cut points through them. Then I just glued wheels to toothpick, but before that I sanded those cut points with abrasive paper for better glueing surface.

I don't know how to explain that... You have to make some extra length of spokes. Then I bent them outside a bit.

I changed my mind, I will build a mk II vw golf, I like that idea better than the lotus, and the design is simpler.

That's also a good one. I wanted to make Lancia Delta HF Integrale before Polonez, which is also quite simple, but finally I decided to make FSO.

No, wheels can't turn, they are fixed to axles permanently. Well, almost permanently, because they are hanging on by a prayer.

I drew the body using blueprints, some elements like wheels, side mirrors, fog lights etc., then cut it out, I cut the chassis out of a cardboard, I glued all this together and that's it.

Dude that's hard. The part where you have to design and measure it in a way so all the parts would come together nicely. But why did you need two compasses? and how big is it? (the lenght and witdth or something) I can't imagine, how big is the 1:26 scale

I had references - blueprints and photos. But I had blueprints of different versions and I had to modify them, and draw myself.
A pair of compasses means only one piece with two arms
Its length is 16,5cm, width is 5,5cm.

Sam mam na koncie kilkanaście kartonowych modeli. Wygląda nieźle, Polonez jak się patrzy. Powinieneś każdy płaski element, np. maskę, podklejać od spodu nieco mniejszym kawałkiem tektury, dzięki temu nic by się nie zapadało. Robiłem tak sklejając model F-117, tam było mnóstwo płaskich powierzchni (skala 1:33, czyli całkiem spory model). Szyby i reflektory można zrobić z twardej przezroczystej folii; reflektorom nadać odpowiednią fakturę kratując ją np. szpilką. Powyżej tylnych reflektorów, po bokach "spoilerka- ducktaila

Dzięki za radę, nie pomyślałem o podklejaniu...
Spoiler ma dziury, to mnie chyba najbardziej razi, niestety mój błąd - początkowo przewidziałem te boczki spoilera jako całość z całym bocznym panelem, później je uciąłem i miały być takie listki przy spoilerze, które potem bym zagiął. Niestety źle obliczyłem ten spoiler, musiałem całość trochę zmodyfikować i je też uciąłem.
Lakierem żadnym niestety nie dysponuję na chwilę obecną, ale pomyślimy...
Jako baza posłużył blueprint Borewicza, który potem lekko zmodyfikowałem na przejściówkę, korzystając ze zdjęć. Mam zeskanowany ten projekt, jednak prawda jest taka, że jest to zaledwie pół samochodu, bo wiele elementów opracowałem później (całe kartonowe podwozie, koła, lusterka i wydech) i nie mam gotowych wzorów tych części.
Myślałem już nad kolejnym, także samoróbką, tym razem Toyota Corolla AE86. Chciałbym też zrobić wnętrze.
