Description Kamiya's Ancient dragon - download the huge composite image for more details.

This seems to be a very popular model (and for good reason). I've finally managed to fold one. My previous attempts have involved the use of wrapping paper (which ripped very easily) and lokta (didn't rip but couldn't hold a fold very well).

I finally took the time to buy a roll of 24" parchment tracing paper to fold complex models such as this one. I didn't find the folding sequence to be particularly difficult; it just took a while.

Diagrammed in "Works of Satoshi Kamiya 1995 - 2003". Folded from a 24" by 24" uncut square of parchment

Yes, there are diagrams of this model published in "works of satoshi kamiya". I followed the diagrams to fold this model.

Yes it is expensive. Mostely because it is only published in Japan and they have to import it.
