Description
So another weekend another style experiment. I got all excited after watching tutorials on line weight messing illustrator only to learn my version was one version too old to do it! So I ended up drawing some lines with a brush pen, scanning them and using them for stroke brushes. Yeah I could have just done the whole thing with a brush pen but that just wouldn't be as much fun (also I'm way, way too unsteady with a pen for long lines. Still trying to condense my characters into simpler shapes. This time the head is based off a circle and the body is a triangle and a circle. Simplified the feet a little and I look back now regretting not working the hands into a similar shape. Kind of lacks consistency. Simple eyes too. They were tinier and more spread out on the drawing but I ended up scaling them for the finished pic. Thinking next time I should get some good heavy card stock, print my line art and try shading by hand.
