Today's Homestuck update made me so very sad. Sorry, I know it's kind of a spoiler, but you shouldn't be looking at new Homestuck fan art if you aren't caught up! Now, BE MISERABLE WITH ME.

I just showed my friend (who is somewhere in Act 3) this picture and she nearly broke my freaking shoulder throwing a regular fangirl freakout.

aaaah I can't believe I never faved this! It's one of my favorite pieces of HS fanart ever. His poor empty eyes, the smooth, simple shading, his graceful fingers, all that blood... it's very chilling.

It makes me foam at the mouth in delight. I'm most attracted to the grays in the picture, especially the eyes. They add a nice touch of lifelessness to the subject while they're soft enough that you feel mournful even if you don't know the story. Excellent job!
