For the recent DCBB challenge for a story by BunnyMacCool (link below).The premise: Sam has taken Cas shopping for new clothes at the Mall and Cas has discovered a preference for orange. Meanwhile hiding out from the whole shopping thing in the food court, Dean is idly looking at dying ivy plant when it suddenly starts looking much healthier!
I struggled with Dean's likeness, and the background (argh shopping malls are so complex to paint!). I used the sunlight and the dust motes (and Cas' attention) to hint at something more supernatural going on - because this is the same Powers!Dean story as this art :

Oh god, I think this is one of the greatest, real-looking pieces you've ever made!
Love the details and how they look, and also the concepts you incorporated into the painting, it's very well-thought out!

i can't get over how much this looks like the mall in Days of Our Lives. Which is hilarious considering Jensen's caracter, Eric, just came back. only Jensen isn't the actor ;n;. but when i thought it was going to be him, i just kept on thinking that Supernatural should do an episode about how the boys get trapped in Days of Our Lives by Balthy and/or Gabe! that would be amazing!

I love when Castiel is wearing something other than his trench coat and you're right, orange suits him. You have such an ability to capture likeness, regardless of your struggle with Dean, it still looks like him and Castiel looks exactly like Misha Collins. It's actually incredible. I wish I had your talent

There's something about Cas that is just... perfect! The shirt fitted him so well and you did such an amazing job with it because it could totally be something Misha would wear but we can clearly see that it's Cas here!

I hadn't heard of the pumpkin underwear joke before, but the idea for orange t-shirts belongs to the author (BunnyMacCool) and she may have been inspired by it

Again, this is pretty amazing. Cas in an orange shirt... I snorgled. I love the ivy though, and the expression on Dean's face. This is lovely.
