Description
Gehenna is a bad place, where the irredeemable go. The journey to the afterlife is not guaranteed smooth sailing, crap happens and sometimes undeserved recently-passed souls end up in Gehenna. They wander aimlessly, eventually tire out and succumb to the Smother. Or, more often, they're rescued by Guidelights who patrol the eternal darkness.

Guidelights were fellow lost souls who found a way out, but turned back to help others. Eventually they regain the most recent vessel they passed from and in their bright forms are able to roam Gehenna without ill-effects, as either Beacons who ferry out many souls at a time, or as Guardians who escort a soul at a time but can beat back the Smother.

Finally, after days of fighting this, it's done. Wanted a candle flame look but that failed, after literally dozens of trials I settled on a translucent jellyfish look. Unlike purely digital artists, I have no innate library of methods to pick from, I practically start every coloring from zero.

I must now do some major stretching, days of sitting has crippled my circulation and boy-o do my eyeballs hurt.
