Yes it is a do it yourself kit with materials and instructions. The other ones in my gallery are all made by my own designs unless i state where it came from like the snow rabbit i made ^_^. I have only seen one felt cake book which is the one you said and i think it's a really good book to start with. I really want some other books but they are all avaliable in Japan T_T. I am also thinking of setting out some DIY kits my own >W<
