I tried UF5 aswell, but it seems I couldn't really deal with it-.- and most people don't only use UF but also Photoshop for strange but beautiful brushes. I wonder how, I certainly still have to learn a lot!

I liken UF 5 to Windows. It has the same ponderous, step by step logic. That's why it works for me. And, I can honestly say that I do not use Photoshop on my fractals. Kanji is the only exception. If you're truly interested, Janet Parke has turned her Visual Arts Academy lessons into lessons that you can purchase in -- I think -- PDF form. I took her first two classes and have never regretted it. You might like Apophysis better. And there are many, many tutorials here on Deviant Art for that.

Thank you for the tip I might just take a look now. And yes, you're right, I almost forgot about Apophysis. Well, I started out with UF and didnt try AP yet but I heard good things about it. Thanks aswell for reminding me xD

If you really want to start making fractals with Apophysis, check out ^SuicideBySafetyPin. She's the Apophysis maven here on DA. She can steer you to all sorts of Apo resources. And, she runs a chat room for Apo fans. Have fun!
