I manage an italian e-zine, where each two months there is a different theme. Can I publish this in the next week issue: Coffee?
Of course at your name.
See past editions on link on my sign.

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Coffee is the best! Drinking some right now!
Really nice composition etc. Did you set that up or did it just happen to spill that way and you had a camera handy?

Wonderful macro, I really do like the detail and almost 3D look to the droplets. Stunning!

you see, typically i don't just favorite things without commenting on them. so it's with that in mind that i'm coming back and redeeming myself. =]
that being said, lemme start by saying that this photo completely and totally deserves each and every one of it's 180+ comments and 360+ favorites. not only that, but i'm thoroughly impressed with how you got back to me so soon after i fav'ed it (without commenting even). it took me months to sort through all the fav's and comments after my one daily deviation and get back everyone. the fact that you got back to me so quickly speaks volumes to me. hooray!
please ignore the fact that i'm ending every paragraph with a smiley.
as far as the picture goes, it's really got it all, from a solid, well-balanced composition, to tantilizing textures (most evident in the wood grain that flows into - and swirls around inside - the drops of coffee). i especially like the details in the reflections on the droplets. what's more is you've chosen a narrow depth of field, to really bring emphasis to the droplets rather than the cup itself, which is a more common practice. =]
i'm really rather jealous of that last fact, the d.o.f that is. that's one of the benefits to using smaller cameras with smaller optics like your pentax. i use a digital slr, and even with my 50mm f/1.8 i have trouble getting that narrow of a depth of field. goes to show you that epuipment doesn't make a good picture, it's the photographer.
you've really put together some great composition with good texture, and beautiful colors. and you definitely deserve the daily deviation. congratulations! and best of wishes for future success. =]
